2025, The Odds on Offer

Just having a look..

Ballyburn for the Browns Advisory.

I'm not saying I think he will go here... Turners surely the likeliest... but with WPM running Fact To File in it this year being his best novice chaser.... PP/BF being 12/1 for this race is surely worth a couple of points? WH 5/2!!

He wasn't stopping over 2m5f

FTF went RSA due to JP having his bollocks on it so hard to see that angle and GDC went Turners.

Quite like the look of 33s PP for l'homme presse in the ryanair , he'll almost certainly get an entry, it was a toss up between the turners/browns a couple of years ago, charlie deutsch's remarks about not seeing it out in the gold out wasn't lost on me. You'll need a 170 horse to win the ryanair nxt year, with the gold cup 2025 potentially having 3 superstars in it, Gdc, f2f and il est f, i could see venetia opting for the ryanair, it wouldn't have been lost on her also that it was protekorat took the honours this year, the thursday race would be right up his street.

I like the shout, there's a quote today about him in the Racing Post, this part is most interesting with respect to next year's target:

"There will be plenty of opportunities for him next season. Charlie said after the Gold Cup that the tacky ground slightly blunted his speed. We've known all along he does possess pace, which he proved when beating the Ryanair winner at Lingfield. That's why people might be thinking about a drop in trip but we're not looking that far ahead."

I’m sure Charlie just said better ground needed in the GC

He did. Chappers tried to push him down the Ryanair route and he said “no, just better ground” or similar.

For clarity, having re-read the article, they also think he was struck into at the second last when he started weakening.

For me, it's pretty easy to see a route to the ryanair if there are two superstars in the gold cup and el fabiolo is injured so Gaelic goes champion chase. I pulled the trigger earlier before seeing the article - I wouldn't be as keen to pull it now having seen what has been said.

Difficult to place though next year:
Charlie hall, Fleur de lys, trials day, Denman chase are the only left handed options I can think of?

Lhomme presse isn't quick enough for 2m4f these days

He'd need it to be bottomless

Might be worth covering Fastorslow at 25s plus boost prior to Punch

Were he to run well against GDC again, then bound to shorten

will be 9 next year is downside but pretty lightly raced & good one for those with a book

Ryanair is the race I wasted most darts at last year. And I've already been tempted by a couple. :biggrin-new:

Iroko the one I'm currently hovering over the 66s for. Easy enough to make excuses for him in the Turners with that prep.

Indiana Dream be another I'd consider. Although not that much juice in the price.

He's one on my shortlist, well it's more a long list ! Ran a steady race and didn't seem to be given a hard time, would imagine loads of improvement to come with hopefully a full uninterrupted prep next season.

Yup. Pulled the trigger on him immediately when it went up. Also worth thinking that JP has FTF and potentially Corbetts as darts for the GC.

An Olly Murphy trained winner of the bumper at Wetherby, the week after Cheltenham, in hugely taking fashion … Supreme? :watermelon::watermelon::watermelon:

Wouldn't be surprised if corbetts cross shows no form until the grand national weights come out next season

Agree he's a must for a Gold Cup book, but I've backed him for the Ryanair.

Allaho won the Punchestown Gold Cup despite not really staying the Cheltenham Gold Cup trip and with there's no evidence yet that Fastorslow does or doesn't stay the trip I'd say. He was travelling really nicely at the Festival, so I was hoping he'd get around and empty out so I could back him with more confidence at 33s for the Ryanair, but it's not inconceivable that he'll get pumped by Galopin and Fact To File before the festival next year and the Ryanair could look wide open. His speed of jumping would be a massive asset in the shorter race so I've taken a chance at the odds. :encouragement:

I don't know whether to laugh or cry with Maughreen's odds. I think its the latter, Missed 12s now into 4s!

Early to put a double up, but I like Slade (Ark) & Bally (Tu) ….can see them being kept apart again

If u think Bally goes Browns, then Slade could go Turners I guess

Do you mean Slade and Jasmin De Vaux at 33s AR Eggs ? Or maybe they have just taken your bet down as I can't see it on there now
