2025 Novice Chasers

Just my opinion as that was where he was heading last season. Can't see why they'd change unless of course he's not up to standard.

Or JP wants him up into open company as the season progresses. He potentially has Jeriko Du Reponet, Mirazur West and Iberico Lord for the Arkle off the top of my head. I have him covered for the Arkle but took some of the 33s for the Ryanair also. He would have likely been going out in trip this season and if he proves good enough after a couple of runs I could see him being tried in open company before the festival

Iberico and Inthepocket may find that harder off 150ish currently, suggesting Arkle potential for both - notwithstanding the fact above

Very good point. Yes, most were given 'educational' rides and why not.

Whilst not a JP horse, this is why I followed up on The Enabler for the AB @ 40/1 after his poor first run, as fitness and ‘gentle’ introductions are key considerations on first runs and also the distance of the race with what you think is the long term plan ie 2m was surely too short for The Enabler?

This is probably the only naive opportunity the bookmakers give us as sometimes they over react to what they see are poor first runs, even if the trainer is happy as it’s all part of the plan! :barbershop_quartet_member:

Re The Enabler then bit of a concern around being out again so soon, even though it’s over a longer trip, as I wonder if it’s all part the plan to get the 5 runs in to qualify for the Pipe or Pertemps. However experience is also good thing for the AB methinks :smile-new:

Entered at Galway on Sunday over 2m 5 1/2f so hopefully we see a run which supports his potential over a trip, rather than 2m

If he wins and wins well then the 40/1 for the AB will be long gone ! :cheerful:

Shorter now than the CHurdle.
I saw a quote where he said we think he will jump a fence in time, but we are thinking stick to hurdles for now, or words to that effect.Not seen anything since.
Maybe he has done some schooling? And it went well?
Hes probably the 2nd best hurdler in the yard, and could be a sub for CHill, if things don’t pan out for that one.
Hes certainly open to plenty of improvement.

Yeah would be great to have a few with live chances in an Arkle.
This Sir Gino situation could be a sign that they are really pleased with CHill, and decided to school SG over fences earlier than planned.Knowing that they can revert back to hurdles if needed.
Definitely a situation to keep me an eye on.
