Turners Novices' Chase, 12-1

He's really coming to himself now but it looks unlikely he'll go. We'd be leaning towards a 2m4f novice chase at Naas.

From De Bromhead's stable tour in the RP.

….hopefully posted in the stable tour thread. Busy day.

He’s almost certain to run in the Turners. He’s in the Brown Advisory too and I wouldn’t be worried about three miles with him, and if it was dry then we have that race as an option. I thought he was good last time out and I’m already thinking that this time next year we could have a serious horse for the Ryanair.

If you've got a serious horse for the Ryanair next year, you need to be going pretty close in a Turners, don't you? :indecisiveness:

I like him a lot Kev. I was there on Trials day and he was very impressive. Got in a fantastic rhythm and did it very easily without being asked any questions and had loads left. The Turner's does look the right race. If Potter is going to get beat I think he's the one who's going to beat him. Great EW bet or win in the 'without'market if they have one on the day.

And PP have him at 20/1 for the Ryanair next season, but 10/1 NRNB for the Turners in 3 weeks…

either 10/1 is a gift or 20/1 is horrific…

JDB a none runner according to David Casey last night in the Gaulstats notes. No mention when taking about the BANC either

A huge pointer !! Turners it is. Big chance. He was very good on Trials day. Jumped them silly.

….Adamantly Chosen & AI look likely for here according to Mullins.

Put in a great performance to win at Fairyhouse under Daryl Jacob then we ran him back in Leopardstown and he disappointed. He needs to come back to his Fairyhouse form to have any chance but I think he could.

For where Willie ?...

David Casey said non runner at a preview the other night didnt he? Somebody lying...

Yeah, but I read that as a non runner for this race and that he'd end up in the BANC.
Maybe it's just some unfortunate editing on the stable tour ?

To be fair, the reporting is often atrociously out of context. He likely did say.

David Casey said Jdb was a non runner while talking about the turners, didn’t specifically say non runner at the festival. And in today’s stable tour jdb is positioned amongst the Wednesday runners, so I’d be thinking banc judging by that.

Just to add to this.. On Paddy I was able to (and did) cash out my ew bet on JDB for RSA yesterday. I was not able to cashout my Turners bet. Suggests they knew where he was going. Luckily I've still got a small amount on him to win both races but I've lost my 25/1 ew ticket on the RSA.

AC's only Novice chase entry. 33/1 looks a nice EW price as there may not be many runners.

where is the 33-1 ?

Was going to say Corals but just checked and he's now 12's! When did that happen?? Backed him last week at 33's.
