AN would need another run before the Fez. On a good mark if they can fiddle another run.

Makes you wonder what that mark fishing exercise was about. Particularly when he was seemingly so well treated by the British Capper.

Would he definitely need another run as he is no longer a novice or does the novice status only apply at the beginning of the season? Genuinely confused regarding this:

"BHA - From Oct 1st '22 a novice horse shall only be qualified to run in a Class 1 or Class 2 Handicap Hurdle Race if it has run a minimum of four times in Hurdle races in Great Britain, Ireland or France. For the Boodles and the h'cap chases it remains three runs."

He's no longer a maiden, still a novice.

If you haven't won a race at the start of the season, you're considered a novice for the entire season.

Clonmel entries out, Hiddenvalley Lake vs Corbetts Cross possibly.

Hoping for a solid showing from HL.

….race features in Saxon’s Calendar, has produced a few prominent AB finishers. In 2019 Allaho beat Minella Indo before they reversed placings in AB.

Aye think it’s common knowledge nowadays HdB likes to target it for his staying hurdlers, won 3 of the last 6 who all went onto the Albert Bartlett with varied results of course.

Minella Indo won both, Monalee 2nd at the festival and Shantreusse finishing down the field.

Gordon says if Albert was tomorrow then American Mike would be going for it.

As per Irish Field.

Thanks Lobos. Managed to cancel my lay just in time. Gordon doing a Ginto again! Confirmed Ballymore earlier in the week.

Interesting article that for others too. Irish Point Ballymore or nowhere by the sounds.

Yep. I'd put a line through my Albert bet so happy with that. Think it's the right call in view of his troubles this season. Three Card Brag also Albert. Favori also possible but ground dependant maybe?

Disappointed to read that about Irish point, I think he has mentioned in the past he might skip the fez with him. Although surely off a nice mark Gordy could get him into a handicap with a great chance!

The problem is that his mark will be quite high. He's finished 2nd in two grade 1s and they'll ignore his last run. Likely to be high 140s in the UK.

Completely agree. Been running on merit and he’ll be falling into a handicap rather than plotted.

Should we be worried about American Mike being sent to the MP?

A staying on 3rd tomorrow would lead to no reason to him getting a big rating, and thought it was interesting the "win today and" markets has the Martin Pipe shorter than the Ballymore or AB

He's only had 2 runs over hurdles (third run tomorrow) so be unlikely to get another run into him before Cheltenham.

Ahhh
Racing Post app keeping NR races in their race history has fooled me.

Incredibly annoying feature of the latest upgrade

None.

If he goes for the MP it wasn't "the plan" so no interest for me
