2022 Triumph Hurdle

Not one I had even noted until I seen this, there's form from this race with a couple of winners coming from it and another place or two against decent French horses. JP owned too, nothing in any of my books purchased but I do feel there could be something in this formline, he won from the front in his only race so far and seemed to have a bit of speed although the 2nd was staying on. I'll definitely be watching with interest to see first of all which (if any) of his entries he takes up. 33s with Hills, 25s everywhere else.

It's the 4th i find interesting.

JP bought, sent to Greenall. Been in the triumph trial entries, and now in the G1 at chepstow entries..

But yes, there's been winners in there so he's of some interest anyway.

Yes I looked at that and he's split two good ones for a 4 length second. I think he's definitely worth a go at the odds.
 
Another thing that's potentially interesting is he's sourced from Walter Connors.

Sold JP Espoir D'Allen, and has had the likes of Bacardys, Getabird, Angels Breath, Don Cossack and Envoi Allen through his hands....

Can someone request a price on Bet365 for Icare Allen please?

I was told to look out for an entry so I’m glad it’s come sooner than expected. The form of those French NH Flats can be hit and miss so I’m not going to worry about that. As mentioned above, the sourcing is very interesting and, whilst Cokoriko has not quite scaled the heights expected of him, he does sire early 3 year olds that often produce their best results early in their careers. It’s a proper jumping pedigree so hurdling should be his forte.
 
Does anyone know anything about BASCULE? Ive heard a few things about it then also got a text today forwarded through saying hes being aimed at the triumph

I was looking at him yesterday, after the entries came through.

Richard Hughes trying to emulate his late father (Dessie), with a Triumph winner (Our Conor) sprung right to the forefront of my mind.

His entry in the Kempton 3yo race on Monday set my mind going.
Love to see him declared for it (decs on Friday?)

He has skyrocketed with improvement on the Chelmsford All-Weather as recently as last week, so he will be buzzing fit and ready to race though.

To me the hurdles entry was very significant, straight after that improvement on the flat.

I'm cold on all of the British juveniles this season so far, with the exception of In This World, and the Grade 1 at Chepstow looks a very poor renewal to me, nothing rated highly after two runs.

If this one won on Monday he could be a lively one.

The bookies only priced him up after yesterdays entry for Monday, so he is fresh into the market, somebody has been seeking them all, to add him to the market in the last 24 hours.

The one question mark at the moment that I have is would he have the pace for a Triumph? (need to watch his videos).
His improvement has been over 12K and 14F on the flat.

Thats class, cheers mate! Im off to kempton on the 27th so i hope hes there at a nice price to get the day off to a flyer! I also notice with that juvenile race that alan king usually sends one of his better ones, hes currently entered one with a flat rating of 92
 
Interesting to see champion green has enties at Lim/Leop too.
that maiden he finished 4th in was the same race band of outlaws was 3rd in. band of outlaws went on to win the lim race before winning the fred winter ...if champion green goes to Lim he could be boodles bound.....or Leop if he's thought more highly of like sir erec/ivan G

After his ride in the race won by Iberique du Seuil I immediately thought he looked like he wasn't given too hard a time and could be bound for the Boodles.

Vauban not declared in either 3yo maiden hurdle at Leopardstown or Limerick on 27h or 26th respectively.

Frustrating!

Has an entry for NYE at Punchestown so fingers crossed. Heavy in the going description at Limerick and good in the description at Leopardstown, what a funny old year.

It’s possible but it could just be as simple as the conditions and relative fitness suit Icare Allen better.
 
Don't forget before any of you cash out. Haut En Coleurs had no prep before placing in Triumph.
