2019 Aintree Hurdle

A bit strong to say Benie Des Dieux would thrash them?

She was going to beat Roksana by a few lengths...

It isn't like Buveur D'air has struggled against Roksana before? He beat her 11L in his prep race.

She might well win, but we've not seen the form yet so to be that bullish is just saying it for the sake of it.

Outlandish statement for the sake of it, without backing it up with any reasoning behind the thought process.

WHY do you believe Benie Des Dieux will 'murder' this field?

I wouldn't back Buveur D'air at his current price either... not on the back of his 'prep'. He could easily drift to a silly price though

Is the final decs today or tomorrow for this race?

Out now. 9 go to post. No BDD, Samcro or AJ

Nine will feature in the Aintree Hurdle on Thursday. Buveur D'Air, Faugheen, Summerville Boy, Melon Supasundae and Verdana Blue are in the line-up but Apple's Jade, Samcro and Benie Des Dieux will not run.

From @Racingpost

Silver streak confirmed do you know?

Still set to be a great race, Supasundae was disappointing at Chelts but I’d have imagine this is his optimum trip

Typical WPM. Hopefully no one got too badly burnt on BDD. She was cut across the board yesterday and then less than 24 hours later she's a NR.

He did specifically say that they were concerned about the ground for BDD.

This track should suit Verdana Blue imo.

He did Archie and was the reason I had a smaller bet than I otherwise would have done, no complaints from me

Did BDD NRNB with Laddies so going in for another try on Faugheen. Thought he ran a super race in Stayers and reckon this intermediate distance and the flat track will suit him. Nice price to. Can see him being bet on the day as always.

I didn't realise there was NRNB available on the supporting races. Was it just this race, or all Aintree races?

Laddies had it on all those quoted in shops. Not sure online.

Get the feeling Faugheen is going to roll back the years today. Walsh will lead all the way and run them into the ground. The rain will suit him more so than BD especially over the 2 1/2 miles. 2 miles on Soft is ideal for BD but over this distance in tiring ground with a strong pace set by the machine could be too much for him. I'm beginning to think Faugheen is a 'good thing'. Really looking forward to the race.
