There is a grade 1 at leopardstown later in January over 2 miles. UDS ran in that and the race Yorkhill won in his Arkle season. Anyone on the min arkle yorkhill jlt double ?
 
I think that's the Irish Arkle I think MG. It'll be interesting which of the two he sends for that race.

If both Yorkhill and Min turned up in the Arkle (I know, highly unlikely) who would Ruby ride?
 
Ruby usually manages to keep the good ones apart. Based on last years targets you would imagine Yorkhill goes up in trip.. if pushed you would think he has to go with Yorkhill ?
 
I think ruby will have a problem choosing between American Tom and Yorkhill.. Obviously if AT gets beat today then he's not as good as I think he is and I'm 90% sure he would chose Yorkhill anyway, but I wouldn't be shocked if they both lined up in the JLT the result would be a close one
 
What has Min done to be ahead of Yorkhill as Ruby's Arkle horse ?

The Arkle is the more prestigious race.
 
I'd imagine Ruby would choose Yorkhill over Min but highly unlikely that will be a choice he'd have to make.

Ruby's novice chase rides look like being Min, Yorkhill and Bellshill - providing all goes to plan in the lead up to the festival.

Nothing, but Ruby likes clocking up Grade 1's at the festival regardless of their prestige so I wouldn't use that as my indictator for who goes where?
 
Yorkhill could be dodging Altior ?
 
I can't see yorkhill going anywhere but the JLT or an outside chance of going back over hurdles into the champion hurdle, must admit I was disappointed that he came out of the race today against American Tom, thought that would have been really informative
 
American Tom coughing? If he doesn't turn up then it is very hard to see past Ruby being on Min in the Arkle and Yorkhill in the JLT. It has looked most likely all along and even moreso after todays fall for AT?

That's how I see it too.
 
As you know I've mentioned the possibility of Min switching targets to the JLT but as it stands after American Toms performance today, it does look unlikely.
 
I'd say if anything, it's more likely that Min could switch now that American Tom is out of the way.
 
I can't imagine they think they have the best chance of winning both races that way. Min will stay at 2m in the Irish Arkle so it'd be quite the gamble?

This past couple of weeks I have become genuinely concerned he bypasses the novice championship for a tilt at the Queen Mother.
Sleepless nights already....

He's just said on "on the line" he'll have to keep him the conventional routes with a horse this young. No rush. If all goes well and they both stay sound next year against Douvan would be the plan....so we should be fine on that count :)

I had control of the TV last night for 7 hours NFL, so tonight it's Emmerdale Farm, Coronation St and that shite, any suggestion of a switch to ATR could be costly...

A poor round of NFL wildcard games Ista - hopefully next weekend will be much better! I've seen better tackling by my local amateur rugby team than the Dolphins defense last night!!

Just played the unders in that weather, sold points and shirts, had a great weekend.
More entertaining round next week, I'd like to get with Pitts and GB with the points.
I'll be suicidal when this season ends, can't tell you how much I've won since Sept.
