Altior will get taken off his feet in the always strongly run Supreme. Whatever kick he's got will be completely negated. I see this as similar to Irving's performance against Vautour, he'll have nothing left when Min strings them out.

Loking forward to it, always a great tactical race.

I can't see him getting taken off his feet myself. I'd have him down as at least the third quickest horse in the race behind Min and Buveur.

Should be fairly straight forward tactically. Min will let Ruby know who is boss and the main contenders will be ridden handy.

Personally can't see anyone bar Min or Altior win but they could go so quick like Al Ferof's supreme that a stayer comes through and picks up the pieces.

Todays sea of blue for Yorkhill has ignited a nice ante post bet for me that I thot was a lost one.

Could this be a false gamble by the bookmakers? I was reading the Racing Post Cheltenham guide today and almost every bookie highlighted Min as their biggest liability for the fez. With all the non ante post punters yet to bet could this be an attempt by the bookies to shift some further liability away from Min by making out that Yorkhill is the Mullins horse to be on??

Min may be a big single liability for bookies but they will all be sitting pretty given the cash banked through the defection of Faugheen, all the accas involving Min and him are toast, must have trousered millions without raising a sweat, anything they do now to manipulate prices is down to sheer greed, don't trust them and take all talk of losses with a pinch of salt

No bookmaker will ever lose.
Even if they allowed one or two to get decent bets on Min and he obliges those clients will be restricted/closed before the Arkle, take a hit on one race and make sure only small punters and losers are left for the next 27, profit guaranteed, the modern day bookmaker strategy, Freddie Williams will be turning in his grave....

Moon Racer ruled out. Aintree and Punchestown now the aim according to Pipe. Was crazy thinking about going for the supreme with no experience over hurdles.

I am not surprised BB. I was talking to my guy this morning who gave me MR last year and he said the same thing.

Does that mean Bellshill will be switching the Supreme? I notice he's still entered in the Albert Bartlett

Penglai P jocked up. :D

and runs

Aidan

I’ll be riding Penglai Pavilion in the Supreme Novice Hurdle [on Tuesday], he was fifth in the Arc, that’s the sort of horse that John Ferguson has brought to the sport.

I think he could be a forgotten horse. The last run was appalling - too bad to be true ?- could the race be set up for him if Min takes them along ...

I think from memory PP is a really big horse, if so they sometimes struggle for balance with the undulations of Cheltenham, could be thinking about the wrong horse though

Nicky

I was very bullish last week about Altior although tend to get slightly un-bullish towards the end, but he’s in great order and so is Buveur D’Air. It won’t be good ground, although, as I say, it’s in great nick and is probably the best we’ve seen all year but it will still ride slow, which may not help Altior but will play to the strengths of Buveur. We’ve had millions of our runners finished placed in this race, including My Tent Or Yours and Sprinter Sacre, so it’s a race we really need to win! There are plenty of comparisons between them all and Altior would be right up there with the best. Their similarities are simple –Talent!

Min (15/8) is the favourite but Charbel (25/1) will make all the running and to be perfectly honest with you I think Kim Bailey’s runner has got an excellent chance. It was a very good race he won at Musselburgh and he’s a very talented horse and it’s just possible he could show his best form going this way round. At 25/1 with Stan James I think he is a very lively outsider!

Ruby

M is for Min:

The talking horse, for so many people. He has been on people’s lips since last May, and tomorrow is the time for all the talk to stop and the galloping to start. I hope he’s as good as has been said, but all I can say is that he has impressed me in his two runs for us, and he has a very good chance in a hot renewal of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

Anyone else baffled as to why Bellshill turns up here, after the last flop willie and ruby both suggested a step up in trip, i know they now have yorkhill for the neptune but personally i would have preferred two bullets at yanworth rather than one against min
