Thanks Vic. :)

Thats is more than enough to put me off JS.

You're welcome lads, If they can get him to full fitness I really fancy Cue Card, already had a few quid on him but now with NRNb, I think he's looking a great ew bet

The real Cue Card was some horse but ....

I know what you mean OV but I have always felt they had far too much confidence in him being a stayer, he got this trip really well, travelled and jumped rivals into the ground, I'm playing with the hope that they haven't ruined him with the experiment. If he is as good as he was at this trip I think the ref maybe stopping the fight three out, I backed him with Dynaste in, but now, each way, I think he's a great bet, just keeping my fingers crossed he's within a few lengths of the horse he was.

Would be bothered Cue Card has some physical issue. A proper grade1 horse when right.

I love these front running horses, when they pull it off, flying the fences and getting into a really good rhythm, they're so exciting to watch.

Yep - if sprinter had not been around would have won Arkle by 20+ lengths :D

Another few weeks we'll probably be saying "what a performance from UDS, winning the Arkle by 20+ lengths":D

Boyles are 7s NRNB on Champagne Fever - got to be a bigger chance he goes to Ryanair with Dynaste out.

Uxizandre at 14s the other one that caught my eye. Was going to double ew with Mr Mole in Champion Chase the NRNB is singles only :(

What did Simon say to Ed ?

Second is Ma Filleule in the Ryanair Chase. I was lucky enough to spend last Saturday with Simon Munir at Sandown and my five-year-old son collected the trophy for the Scilly Isles Novices' Chase - Sam Chamberlin's first Grade One prize!

I really like the look of Simon's mare in the Ryanair and we should see her again at Ascot next weekend. We have not seen the best of her yet this season but My Filleule - my God-daughter in French - comes to herself in the spring and had a brilliant end to last season.

She was edged out by Holywell at the Cheltenham Festival, in receipt of just 2lb, and that horse could still emerge as a major Gold Cup contender. She then hacked up in the Topham at Aintree jumping the Grand National fences brilliantly.

Ma Filleule jumps well, and crucially we know she acts on the Cheltenham track and that she thrives on spring ground. Let's hope the punters have fallen for the mare on Valentine’s Day next weekend.

Sounds like the ryanair for ma Filleuile reading that. Explains the money earlier this week too. Place possibilities for sure.

Could be a race full of greys !

another one gone

The champion trainer told his Betfair column: "Al Ferof has a minor problem which rules him out of his intended target in the Betfair Ascot Chase on Saturday, and also the Cheltenham Festival.

"He has a partially entrapped epiglottis which requires minor corrective surgery.

"So Ascot and Cheltenham are ruled out as he will be recovering, but the aim is to get him ready for Aintree and Punchestown.

"In the light of that, I will be entering Ptit Zig for the Betfair Ascot Chase at the weekend."

Champagne Fever entered in Redmills over 2m4f at the weekend. :D

Ballycasey and Champagne Fever both entered in Redmills and Ascot Chase.

Wouldnt be reading too much into Cheltenham target from ths race distance.

As of today I have started to look into the Ryanair and I am trying to oppose favourite as usual.

Has anyone considered Balder Success in this race? He has won all his chases in and around two and half miles. He doesn't seem to get on with Sandown but has won a few over 2m and ran well /placed in the rest. 12-1 seems generous.

I can't see him going off that price if he beats Ptit Zig over the weekend if they run, tough ask though

Does BS need to go right handed or is it flat tracks ? He skipped Cheltenham last year ?

Apologies if this is nothing new but with potentially both Ballycasey and Champagne Fever running this weekend I thought I'd throw my useless and invalidated opinion into the mix beforehand...

I've been keen to discover who potentially may run in the Ryainair from the Mullins/Ricci armoury and I'd be inclined to suggest it will be Ballycasey. As said before by others, CF looks set to take his chance in the QMCC due to the vulnerability of the market principles. Djakadam after his resounding win in the Thyestes looks GC bound and Willie is on record stating around 2 and a half miles is Ballycasey's trip.

A horse I always thought would have a future he was a valiant 4th in the RSA last year at the festival he looked very much a contender turning in, only to be outstayed up the hill. His record over obstacles at around 2 and a half miles is 5 from 6 (the other time he fell with the race at his mercy) and his record against Don Cossack is currently 3 from 3. DC is a worthy favourite but not someone I want to invest in around the 5/1 mark and given the info above, 14/1 about Balleycasey is good value in my eyes. However, a good performance this weekend at either Ascot or Gowran Park is going to significantly dent that price and if you fancy him for the festival I would be inclined to jump on before it's gone!

I appreciate logic and the selection of races for Mullins horses don't always align but if CF goes to QMCc, BC to the Ryanair and Djakadam to the GC, it gives the Ricci's a runner in all the Open Grade 1 chases and so I'm hopeful come March we will see Ballycasey line up and run a cracker

Welcome Lessey.

Think they might like to get runs into both this weekend.

Good stat on Ballycasey. I haven't been able to warm to him since that schooling fall in Leopardstown. Ruby will like a ride in all those races too. Nothing obvious in Champion Chase if fever went to the Ryanair.

Welcome on board Lessey.
