2015 National Hunt Chase aka the four miler

Don Poli vs Coneygree ?

Coneygree didn't even come into it OV.

Was basically just saying I think Valseur Lido would be the much better G'town representative because DP does't have the experience or the speed to win the RSA.

I can safely say that's not the opinion the other side of the Irish Sea

:D

We arent all lunatics Lessey ...just most....tis a game of opinions otherwise every favourite would win.

DP out to 6's on PP for this race. Looks like he's going RSA.

A stab at a long shot....

LR Day 1 Selection.

Race: National Hunt Chase aka 4 miler
Selection: The Job Is Right
Odds: 20/1 (21/02/15)

FJ Spotlight:
Ran well for most of the way when unseated at the last in the race when Djakadam made his mark for the GC. I thought TJIR got a little out paced towards the end which may have caused the mistake at the last where those 2 drew clear. He seems to prefer good/soft, soft and has put in good performances between 22f-25f. I have put a line through his chase debut but other than that he has had 1 bad run over the bigger obstacles. Kept on well 1&1/2L behind Very Wood 22f, then 3L staying on same pace behind Living Next Door when Fox Rock was 2nd 24.5f, won next race over 25f. All this tells me he will relish the extra distance and will have less chance of being out paced towards the end. I think he is worth every bit of the 20/1 available.

Day 1 selection,
The Young Master, plenty of 10's around, very sound jumper, stays well great ew chance

I seem to remember BG saying he would be aimed here but I can't remember where I saw that

There was a bit in RP a month ago. Owner wants RSA, Neil wanted 4 miler but think it finished with them leaning towards RSA.

Would have though BG will probably ride TYM in RSA with CD going to 4 miler but only guessing.

Will have to make alternate selection that being the case, I can't say I'd fancy TYM for the RSA, but with BG on board you never know

Geraghty is on a preview panel tomorrow night so I hope he gets asked.

Have you seen this

Carole's Destrier got the ball rolling at Ascot on Valentine's Day and there was a good deal to like about the performance.

Returned the 5/4 favourite, the seven-year-old had been available at (relative to his SP) significantly longer odds when betting opened and he didn't disappoint in running out an eight length winner under Barry Geraghty.

Unfortunately, the handicapper was similarly impressed and has dished out a 10lb rise which will obviously make life harder but this strong stayer is progressive.

He holds entries for both the RSA Chase and the Ultima Business Solutions Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival but after Ascot, Neil Mulholland indicated that he could head to Aintree instead.

I tried picking out a value bet for this race for the day 1 acca. It was either out of TJIR or Perfect Gentleman.

Any thoughts on my suggestion? I am happy to dig deeper for anotehr selection if you don't agree. :)

I think if we give the reason(s) for picking the suggections will help the judges decide on the horse.

Loads in with a shout LR, those two are in the mix, I fancy TYM if he runs here, but RSA looking more likely, one that certainly jumps well enough is Vroum Vroum Mag, not sure about the trip though, or the Mullins running plans

MG, I would actually be backing TYM if he runs here. He was my first big ap Fest back in Dec for the RSA. In loads of my luckys as well. I got 16's.

For your sake then LR I hope he runs where you've backed him:o

One thing I always do on the road to chelts is back horses that haven't stopped improving in a big way prior to the Fest, and TYM is one of them.
