Vautour vs Josses Hill imo.

Think Faugheen will be their hurdler. Annie Power will head for Mares. Vanituex over further maybe Jewson ?

MTOY could switch but think they might win a few G1s first.
 
Ive taken the plunge and backed Josses Hill.
 
Owner states Arkle is target for Vautour. Nicky Henderson and Barry Geraghty toying with idea of keeping Josses Hill over hurdles this season &#55357;&#56864;.
 
If MTOY goes chasing Henderson might want to hod back Josses Hill :confused:
 
Court Minstrel wins today.... has a higher rating than Josses Hill over hurdles FWIW.

"We are very happy with that performance as he has found an inch or so on the course which he had not been doing at home," said Williams.

"We had schooled him on a synthetic surface and he had been anything but flashy but we will stick to fences now and he could go to Cheltenham on October 18 for a two mile novice chase."
 
I agree with Mayo. The two that stand out a mile to me are Josses Hill and Vautour. I'm slightly worried with Paddy Power going 7/1 Vautour....do they know something we don't?

Josses Hill looks like he has more scope for fences. The highest rated hurdler used to wing the Arkle - didn't happen last year though !

In case anyone has missed the news - Vautour is probably going chasing according to Willie Mullins.
 
I guess at this stage plans need to be fluid. If things don't work out for vautour over fences then I'm sure they'll quickly shuffle the pack.

Faugheen should shorten up now for Champion.
 
Yeah. I'm unsure what to do with Faugheen at the moment. I've traded a little but I think I'll trade out when/if he hits 3/1.
 
I would like to see -
Faugheen - champion hurdle
Hurricane Fly - world hurdle
vautour - arkle
un de sceaux - JLT
Annie power - RSA (lets see if she is a gold cup horse)
Champagne fever - Ryanair/Gold cup depending on how the step up in trip goes.

That's just Ricci horses (bar the fly) and doesn't deal with pont alexander, djakadam, ballycasey etc.

And then they announce Un De Sceaux is going chasing over the minimum trip aswell 😳 will Willie run two against each other at the Fest??
 
vautour could go over longer - jlt? perhaps that was part of the reason of him running over longer than the minimum at the punchestown festival..
 
Something in the back of my head says ignore all Willie and Ricci say and look at what they do.

Vautour went over min trip and Faugheen the intermediate last time. UDS stayed at home.

Are there soft ground chases for UDS in France ?
