Novice Hurdlers 2027

Lord Byron running in Persian war
Now I really fancy him to win and a big price for turners is still appealing to me

Looking forward to seeing Moulin Rouge also in that race
Do you mean the juvenile Moulins Rouge ? with Henderson ?
The one running today is with Nolan. Although an unexposed 5yr old.

….Down Jones Road;
‘He was an impressive winner of his point-to-point, and he came to us in the spring. He looks a very exciting prospect for novice hurdles, and he is a lovely individual.’

Feel Gut;
‘As he won a Junior National Hunt Novices Hurdle in January, he is still a novice for the coming season and begins this autumn with experience under his belt. He could be an exciting prospect for this season.’

Prince Rupert;
‘We thought he was pretty useful going into his bumper at Kempton and he didn’t disappoint us. He is the heaviest horse we have ever recorded at Seven Barrows, but he is well proportioned and we are very excited about his novice hurdle campaign.’

Moulins Rouge;
‘He has three runs at Auteuil and was an impressive winner in May. He is an imposing individual who will make a chaser but could find further success over hurdles before then.’

Listened to Colin Keane interview after winning Bumper. He said instructions were to be closer from the off but that the Mourne Rambler couldn't go with them.
Clearly finished his race off really well and wasn't stopping.
I then watched his Punchestown race back and he did look caught for toe until staying on and pinching 2nd at the finish.

Whilst his trainer does tend to favour the Supreme when he has a decent Novice Hurdler, I'm swaying more back to him being a Turners horse now.

Must say I'm not keen on Mailloche being out on Saturday this early. Got him in the book but regretting it a bit now. Opening show of 5/4. Moment Of Grace and Morisk D'oudaries are hopefully showing more at home.

We can only hope. As you said in the week. Might just be a case of him being ready. They might think he needs it. All my Frenchies are from your sources anyway so if one lands it's quids in time. Id be happy if he looks sluggish and scrambled home judging by Willies habit of them needing the fitness.
