My worry would be that both Jockey and Trainer have said that the way he finished in the Gold Cup was not because he didn’t stay, but something to do with his wind, so therefore IMO they will start next season campaigning him as a GC contender and the Ryanair will only become an afterthought based upon the seasons performances…….pretty much the opposite of this seasons campaign😂

Yea, there's plenty of issues with the bet, which is why I didn't recommend it. I'm not even sure what you'd want to see in his races before Cheltenham for them to end up in the Ryanair.

I do think if he targeted the race he'd have a right good chance though.

Not sure if already mentioned on this Thread , but I was thinking of Air of entitlement for the Mares Hurdle , available @ 20-1 .
The Martin Pipe winner , often turns out , to be a classy type.

She's certainly got a great festival record, definitely one to consider, i reckon.

Firstly, don't think anyone has claimed July, if so then I am happy to give it a go?

Secondly, I like the Narcisco Has shout. Whilst I thought he was beating a moderate bunch, the form of 4yos has turned out very favourably. Franked again just today by Selma De Vary in France whilst Mange Tout won the Aintree 4yo race. What I also like is the performance of 4yos against older horses. Lord Byron just failed to pick up King Rasko Grey at Punchestown, Charme De Faust has ran well twice in graded mares novice contests. I'm sure there is another one who has run well in open company whose name escapes me. Still early days and they have been getting the weight advantage against older horses but, I actually think they could be a very good bunch. 20/1 in a division that probably won't be that strong is worth a go, even if will be a 5yo. The last 5yo winner was owned by McManus (Clutching at straws).

….really appreciate that. July is yours, Matey.

I've backed saratoga so similar comments apply, 5 years old and owned by jp. Has anything been said about the injury that ruled narciso Has out of the festival ?

…..getting to the pointy end of the month, reading between the lines, I’m thinking @ComplyOrDie has 3 in his basket;

Narciso Has (CH)
Jimmy de Seuil (Stayers)
Kaid D’authie (GC)

Wants selections at 16-1 or greater, I’m sure he’ll welcome any thoughts.

Glad to say, @knockando has agreed to captain the June effort.

I'd also vote for He's On Fire for the BANC. 10-12s.

My other thought was Marine Nationale for the CC. Will be 10 but still relatively lightly raced. 12-14S.

How about mange tout in the mares hurdle ? She's got form with narciso has and won nicely at aintree. The Elliott festival form in recent years does dampen my enthusiasm, slightly.

Kutzbuhel Ryanair 20/1 or King Rasko Arkle 16/1 for the final pick.

Ladies & Gents. Welcome to Somers Curve ball! We are looking for one last horse and i thinks i got the Fucker. Hows about Minnie Hawk for the Arc? The more i look the better it looks to these Thatchers up eyes?

You would be correct, them 3 are now locked in.

It looks like it will be between Air Of Entitlement (Mares Hurdle) or He's On Fire (BANC) for the final slot, so get voting in the comments!

….of the two, I think I’d sway towards Air of Entitlement.

As @BigChaang points out, two Festival wins under her belt, 20-1 seems decent although the target isn’t certain. Won a Martin Pipe over 2m 4f, was travelling well at Aintree but maybe didn’t get home over 3m, the Mares Hurdle could be right up her street.

I know a few were on this year at 50-1, maybe a chance to recoup.

I seem to remember a conversation on here about Air of Entitlement (few mmo the back I think) and it included the disparity between its OR and what will be needed next year. It put me off backing it so I would be in the He’s on Fire camp.

Air of entitlement will have either of BDA/wodhooh plus a Mullins horse to beat. Then several possible improvers from the juvenile ranks and maybe golden ace. On that note I’m going for the exciting he’s on fire banc
