2026 Novice Hurdlers

so some people on here actually believe you would swap out an 8/1 shot for a 66/1 no hoper?

That might not be the case at all though might it?

Paul will want to do best for the horses he will ride.

IF KRG went Supreme, doesn't automatically make him jump on Free Spirit in a Turners does it

He'll select the 3 best novices, then split them to suit

:ROFLMAO:
I'm giving up ante post if that's the reason
I'm being serious here

Put yourself in JPs shoes. You invite the whole family, book out the panoramic restaurant, have a lovely 3 course meal with the grandkids and then, when they ask which horse is yours, you tell them it actually runs in the first race tomorrow! 🤣

He might not want to disappoint the grandkids!

:ROFLMAO:I'm sure JP's grandkids will have plenty of big days to enjoy some of their Grandad's successes

Probably The New Lion favourite for the Champion Hurdle will be enough for him to flex to them :p

If they asked him that question he'd reply 'whichever one I want kids' while wacking them on the heads with his cheque book.

But not on his 75th birthday in the first race of the meeting, just before creme brulee is being served

The mention was of the same ownership, suggesting they might be split because of that. If I was an owner I would want my horse running in the race it had the best chance of winning. If Townend wanted to ride him somewhere else, tough. If people want to take the words of anyone connected with the stable at face value that's up to them. The market reacted to Mighty Park, the only reaction to King Rasko Grey is that he shortened for the Turners. I would argue for that route if I had backed or not.

That will just very likely happen though won't it?

Free spirit and KRG to be split across the 2
&
Leader d'allier and Saint Baco

Also hard to be certain they don't think a fast run 2m Supreme would suit KRG down to the ground, if he was 'like a pregnant mare' as described.

All mullins bingo atm really though

What do you reckon that would set back J.P.
The whole panoramic restaurant + meal.
If I ever win Euromillions, I would do that.
FAT JOCKEY REUNION LUNCH .
Everyone welcome 🍺🍺🤩🤩. 👍.

I've just googled it and JP is 75 on Champion Hurdle day.

.....perhaps a reason that Mighty Park might run in a Supreme
Yep, if it was my birthday, I would also want as many winners as possible. That's probably why he wants Iroko in the Ultima too. He certainly has a lot of good chances.

Supreme - Mighty Park
Juvenile Hcap - Saratoga, Manlaga, Mustang Du Breuil
Ultima - Jagwar, Iroko
Champion H - The New Lion
Plate - Mclaurey, Waterford Whispers, Down Memory Lane

Out for the day yesterday
Catching up on here this morning and find pages of more Mullins stuff.
Most revealing thing seems to be a horse going Supreme cos his owner’s birthday same day 😮
Don’t suppose Rich Ricci’s big day is Gold cup day ??

That is genuinely probably the most compelling case we will hear for running in the supreme. Interesting.

Some jp ew day 1 multi looks to be in order

I cannot understand why you'd go to the supreme with KRG, he got beat easily by TTT who had to do all the work
You wouldn't, there is no logic in the idea at all, but like so many arguments on here, people continue the vain hope that it justifies their betting slip. There's no acceptance that their initial call might just have been wrong. It would be very refreshing if there were a few more posts like that.

I've not been very present this season on Here for personal reasons, I'm so glad I haven't because you and I would most certainly have had a heated debate or 2

To think there's no logic in a horse beat 3/4L by the current 2nd fav with huge improvement to come according to the trainer, running in the supreme is wild. Havent backed him for any race btw
