He looked well above average today.

He's not with Giggy obviously, so surely he has every chance of going to Cheltenham?
 
Malone Road looked good today , without me rushing to back him for Cheltenham , I wouldnt put anyone off backing him.
 
Interesting that the Thompsons, who have had great success in National Hunt, have decided to use the Cheveley Park banner for this latest venture.
 
Out of the two expensive purchase for Cheveley Park, Malone Road is the more traditional National Hunt bred and should ideally prefer softer ground. Their other big purchase, Envoi Allen, could be the more classy but winning festival bumpers can sometimes come down to staying power rather than class. I think the Thompsons have two good horses to go to war with and both in the right hands with Gordon Elliott.
 
I was at DR on Saturday, to me he didn't look an outright typical chaser, probably that we are used to seeing Elliot run in the Giggy colours...perhaps thats why he wasn't in those colours! He looked impressive alright, and the turn of foot was taking.

He’s only a four year old so still got lots of growing to do. His breeding is certainly traditional National Hunt lines and he’s a half brother to Ravenhill Road. He’s certainly got potential although that bumper was probably fair weak on reflection.
 
Oh yep Jackie, my point was more relating to there being a slight hope he'll be up to running in the Spring festival bumpers. Agree on the form, was a fairly awful bumper- i was disappointed there wasn't a better field as the bumpers can sometimes be good there.
 
Envoi Allen entered again over the weekend at Navan and I’ve a feeling Gordon Elliott really likes him a lot. He’s one of my two Bumper plays but I still have this nagging doubt he could be kept away from the Cheltenham Bumper if they think they’ve got a real superstar. I’d expect him to lay down a similar marker like Malone Road did for the same connections.

Surely this is the shortest priced bumper horse ever at this stage of a season?!
 
I wonder if he will stay in the bumpers or if GE will try to protect the horses for the following season

With the two Cheveley horses (Envoi Allen and Malone Road) I’m really not sure if they will be looked after or if the owners will want runners at the big UK festivals. Both look good prospects but I could see Envoi Allen kept to Irish festivals and skip Cheltenham. That’s purely a hunch and I’ve no evidence to back that up.

Shame about Envoi Allen but at least it will provide some form guidance on whether Commander Of Fleet beat much in the Land Rover
 
Anyone heard anything about the mt Leinster price cut ? I can’t find anything anywhere
