He is my biggest winner of the week. But there's a valid reason for that. He's my biggest bet.
And I don't back in them sort of stakes if i diddnt think he was the real deal. :)

I genuinely think footpad is the biggest certainty of the week.

Deffinately has a better chance than laurina. It's common sense footpad wins. I don't get the PM will improve past him because he beat him over hurdles. Like saying alferof would beat sprinter sacre in the qmcc the year after he won the arkle.

That’s not quite the same thing to be fair.

Petit Mouchoir beat Footpad on all three races over hurdles. On the occasion the ran in a chase, PM was eased down towards the finish but ran a good race after a long absence. The change in track to one like Cheltenham could mean a reverse in form is definitely a possibility.

Samcro is the biggest certainty of the week in my opinion.

I think footpad will finish ahead of petit mouchoir and sceau royal, would honestly have saint calvados as the biggest danger. His form is stacking up and I don’t see why he wouldn’t handle better ground on breeding

Scooby would you not be a little worried if they are neck and neck jumping the last, I think Footpad is a better jumper but I also think PM has a better turn of foot, personally I would be laying footpad if they are together jumping the last..

Not worried at all. If theyre neck and neck at the last PM will have already been ridden and ruby just needs to let out a bit of reign. Apart from that I can't see how they'd be neck and neck at the last, without it being a choice of ruby to keep it all in the tank until after the last.

There's no way NHH ran his race. Diego du charmil only had my horse a few lengths behind him in his novice.

Well I hope you're right

Just been watching Footpad beating Petit Mouchoir... I understand WHY people think PM will come on for the run, but if he jumps like that again he couldn't finish ahead of Footpad.... and Footpad has only made 1 notable error in 3 chase starts.

I'd take Apple's Jade at evens over Footpad at evens all the same :p

I am on PM but must admit out of the two of them I think FP could be a superstar in the making.. I was only on PM because I missed the price on FP in Nov and before...

I'm sure PM will come on for the run but not to the level where he could beat footpad :)

Beating tree of liberty 10 lengths isn’t bad form though either. Will be a frantic race but with footpads jumping ability, the way he travels and stays, he’s definitely most likely winner. Worry is that the pace they’ll be going at might put his jumping under pressure more than we’ve seen so far. If he’s in behind and being hassled then anything can happen

Supplement tree of liberty for the arkle and see how far he gets beat by footpad.

Only 2 weeks until we see.
My only advice would be bring a wheel barrow full of cash and back footpad.
Save enough money to buy a 2nd wheel barrow to collect your winnings :)

Definitely likeliest winner and is just about my biggest winner in the race so happy if he does romp home. Loving that confidence, might get a barrow on hire purchase

Scoobys confidence of Footpad may even top mine for Burning Ambition. Fair play to him. He’s certainly laid his feelings out on the line on this site.

Monitoring the daily Yankee threads closely to see where we end up. Plenty of people have suggested having a MAIN WIN yankee and a MAIN EW yankee, which I think it a good idea.

The first selection of the MAIN WIN Yankee will come as no surprise to his army of followers on here, and that's Cause of Causes.

Keep the opinions coming lads and lasses.

These main yankee's are proving tough! I am going through the opinions on each individual thread to try and conclude the most popular selection, whilst factoring in the change in weather. (Theinval is a prime example of a very popular horse that wants good ground but likely won't get it so won't select). I must say I really don't envy Robith's task of doing the Tuesday Yankee!

MAIN

The first two fairly unanimous horses for the main yankee are:

CONFIRMED: Cause of Causes in the XC
CONFIRMED: Laurina in the Mares Novice

Others on the shortlist are Burning Ambition (Foxhunters), Mall Dini (Kim Muir), Petit Mouchoir (Arkle).

EW

The first three I am thinking in the EW acca are:

TBC: Le Breuil in the Coral Cup (14/1)
TBC: Louis Van Pouch in the Pertemps (9/1)
TBC: No Comment in the NHC (8/1)

The above have received lots of support so barring any strong objections they will be included.

Keep the opinions coming people!!
