Weekend Racing

Placed a double on Debece, Silver Streak last night.... woken up this morning to see Andy Holding has tipped both which is a positive :) .....

I've then added the lucky 15 below because as well as Paul Kealy liking Lincoln Rocks on the RP podcast, Andy Holding and Hugh Taylor have tipped it this morning... with Hugh Taylor going 2 pts win ...

1784/1 Lucky 15 on (betway)

2:00 Haydock - Debece
3.10 Haydock - Silver Streak
3.20 Curragh - Primo Uomo
3.40 Lingfield - Lincoln Rocks

At a wedding today, leaving early to host a eurovision drinking/gambling party :highly_amused: I imagine this post will lose me plenty of credibility :triumphant:

L15 Robbie powers 3 for Tizzard and Ravens Tower in last

I know Scooby has previously sung De Bon Coeur praises as the best filly in training is entered in the 3m hurdle At Auteuil alongside a string of Mullins horse, not least Yorkhill and intriguingly to me Killutagh Vic

That'll be interesting. When is it? On Saturday I see a lot of the Mullins 4yo's are out again... Mr Adjudicator, Mssasa, Saglway ... and another scooby mentioned Pesk Ebrel (but he's a 33/1 shot)

M3:55 on sunday after the grande-steeple chase that Djakadam is entered in

Also De Bon Couer lost for the first time last time out to a Munir/Souede horse Alex de Larredya who is also in the race against

Scooby isn't active at the moment ... so I will wait until he's back to highlight those claims in the mares thread that he made about De Bon Couer :highly_amused: - Joking of course, come back scooby :p and to be fair, I haven't even seen the race...

I would very rarely bet on French racing, even when its a high profile horse like Djakadam. I find it too much of an unknown still - for example, Mr Adjudicator is 2nd fav to a horse at 7/4 that I am not familar with. However, I will be watching with interest. In general though, I find anything after Cheltenham as 'form' a lot less credible that I would at Cheltenham, which isn't ground breaking but definitely the way my mind works.

As for the weekend, it'll be a very low stakes one for me this weekend. I'm going to Chester next Saturday which won't be the highest profile meeting and I'll boost my stakes for that by holding off this weekend.

Will have a multiple tomorrow but that'll be it. A little annoyed I missed Koditime today, I really fancied that and was too busy at work to play! *Aftertiming on NOT having a bet is pretty low isn't it* :highly_amused:

Off to Chester races today... tough looking card in my opinion, interestingly Redicean runs... I didn't fancy him for the Triumph (or the Adonis) but will perhaps give him the nod this afternoon on a competitive looking card

Fast Dancer in the last I've already backed (5.15 Chester)

Away from Chester, have had an EW trixie on

Rattling Jewel (2.25 Curragh)
Crack On Crack On (2.50 Haydock)
Heartache (3.25 Haydock)

Curragh 1.50 FANTASY
11/1 ew with 7 places max bet.
She was 11/10 fav (Moore jocked up) when priced up for her maiden against gossamer wings and taken out due to the ground. She was an extremely expensive purchase at 1.6 million gns and has a future entry in the group 2 railway stakes.

Played up the winnings on

2.50 haydock
Finniston farm 9/1 4 places ew

4.00 haydock
Havana grey.
Ran no sort of race last time and was ridden fairly early. He either hasn't trained on or he needed the run. I'm willing to give him 1 more chance here

Just the 1 bet today
3.00 curragh
Harvestfortheworld 6/1 ew 1/4

Should have a huge chance here. The horses who finished around are running in the irish guineas. She won well the time before at dundalk with a decent yardstick in bond street behind her in 3rd that day. And comes here in rude form compared to the obrien trio.

Not the weekend but surprised there has been no mention of the oaks or Derby yet.

I think Forever Together will turn the tables on Magic Wand and she is in quite a few multiples at 16/1 and 12/1. I had another look this morning and think Perfect Clarity is slightly overpriced at 7/1.

It looks to be a poor renewal with a few leading contenders missing the race. Lah Ti Dar's setback was tough to take having backed at double figures but hopefully she'll be able to run in the Ribblesdale in a couple of weeks time.

In the Derby I have Hazapour 14/1, Dee Ex Bee 25/1 and Sevena Star 40/1 all ew.

Off on my holidays for a couple of weeks but will be back for Royal Ascot.

Good luck all.

Nice way to start the holiday FM!
Well done :)

Dee Ex Bee is/was 4 places 20/1 with Sky which I took, and I have an ante post double with Cracksman/Saxon Warrior which is halfway there (just about!)

Keeping my powder as dry as I can for Royal Ascot though

Cheers Kev. I watched it next to the pool on my phone and tried not to make a scene :triumphant:

Presenting Percy is that last leg of a nice multiple. I was backing him most weeks anyway but I'll stop doing that for now.

Enjoy Epsom BC. :encouragement:
