Continuing with the foreign racing.

Madison stakes . Keeneland 10.10

AMERICAN GAL 6/1 EW
AMI'S MESA 12/1 EW

After a brutal nose defeat in the GI Breeders’ Cup F/M Sprint in November rising Star Ami’s Mesa seeks a first Grade I tally in Keeneland’s Madison S. Saturday.
“The only question going into the [Breeders’ Cup] was the dirt,” said trainer Josie Carroll, who sent out Ami’s Mesa to three 2017 graded tallies–two at Woodbine and one at Presque Isle, all over Tapeta. “After the Breeders’ Cup, she got five weeks off at the farm in Florida.”

Her form is very consistent she went well in the dirt on her 1st try and she deserves her chance here

One who already boasts a victory at the highest level is Kaleem Shah’s lightly raced American Gal Twice Grade I-placed at two for Bob Baffert, she was transferred to Simon Callaghan ahead of a clear-cut victory in Belmont’s GIII Victory Ride S. July 9. The homebred was last seen dominating Saratoga’s prestigious GI Test S. going this distance back in August. A mile was too far for her in the breeders cup where she shaped well 7f is perfect for her as shown in her last starts.

I expect both to be involved at the business end here and show that they are both overpriced here in the UK due to lack of international racing knowledge that goes under the radar with odds compilers

Norman The Red in the 4:15 @ Fontwell for me today.

Know some of the yard it is actually trained by, looks in peak health too. On @ 20/1 last night, here's hoping!

Put that on the daily movers thread last night cod, was 9/1 at the time

Another Aintree bet for me. Diego Du Charmil for the red rum Chase on the Thursday.

The track and ground won't be a problem and he's very well handicapped imo. Hopefully the fall lto doesn't have a negative impact but up until that point he was jumping really well and didn't really make a mistake when he came down.

1.5pts ew 10/1

At 2/1 I’m giving Le Breuil one last chance tomorrow at Fakenham. He was probably too fresh going into Cheltenham for a horse that badly needs a recent run to stop fit. Nico booked and decent ground. If he can’t win tomorrow he’s the most overrated horse on the scene since Dunguib.

Wild West Wind, Kelso 3.0 for me, have to stick with him, travels incredibly well and one day will get that bit of luck and bag a big prize, I'm sure of it

Both well supported and now In line with the American prices at 7/2 and 5/1 respectively. Hopefully they can do the business tonight

AMERICAN GAL beaten a short head.
AMI'S MESA beaten 1 1/4 length

Chesterfield for me this weekend. Would like to back it now, but best wait. A much weaker renewal of the Scottish champion hurdle this year. just can't see past it.

What price you hoping for ziggy? (or have taken?)

There are a few entered this week that I like:

Double Ws needs decent ground, is now well handicapped (back to his mark in the Red Rum last season) and is entered at Ayr on Saturday. His recent form has been rubbish though so he might be out of love with racing.

Go Conquer runs tomorrow at Cheltenham. He was my main pick for the Topham last week but he didn't run because of the ground. Trainer form is a worry but the ground and trip look ideal for him. 1pt win 10/1.

Leader Writer is entered in the spring mile on Saturday. An eye catcher in the Lincoln having been drawn on the wrong side. I think he'll win an early season handicap and this could be an ideal opportunity. 0.5pt win 14/1.

Verdana Blue for me - took the 10s early doors. It’s basically a handicap & I think Verdana Blue is a bit better than that - but I am banking on the ground drying through the week & the word ‘good’ appearing somewhere in the going description. She was miles in front of Chesterfield at Ascot & travelled like the best horse in the Betfair until the heavy ground took effect.

To be honest, I am waiting on the ground. I know Ayr is a little wetter than most of us. 6/1 looks good to me on the basis that it wants decent ground, won a better renewal last year and is very much on form. Would probably do a cover reverse with verdana blue.

SCOTTISH NATIONAL

I have a couple of fancies for this race.

Glencairn View @ 20/1
Sizing Tennessee @20/1

Im hoping one of these will bring up the Nash treble.

Plenty backed tomorrow:

Ayr
2pts ew Vicente 10/1, 1pt win 11/1
2.5pts ew Fagan 16/1, 1pt win 14/1
0.75pt ew Henri Parry Morgan 28/1

1pt win Double Ws 12/1
1pt win Vaniteux 9/2

2pt ew Verdana Blue 6/1
1pt ew Chesterfield 13/2

Newbury
1pt ew Leader Writer 14/1
0.5pt ew Hors De Combat 25/1

Just Label Des Obeaux backed so far... I do want to back Fagan though and will in the morning

I also want Chesterfield backed, and Flying Tiger.

I'll try and avoid any bets on the flat until after Punchestown :) and to be honest, I will be keeping quite a bit of powder dry ready for that next week!

Completely agree with this; I thought she had a decent e/w chance in the Champion Hurdle if the ground had been good. On another note, I am hopeful that Peregrine Run can produce in Grade 2 Novices. I think it may be too sharp for Mia's Storm against these horses and it may stretch Bigmartre's stamina. My fear would be that Bigmartre makes the running and controls the race from the front; the other need to guard against this. Peregrine Run is very well and Peter decided not to go for the (more valuable) handicap earlier in the day as three miles might have been stretching it first time out. This has pretty much been the plan since before Cheltenham so hopefully he will run well.

Claimintakinforgan has his ground today. Supreme form working out well considering he hated the ground.

Also added 1pt Afaak 7/1 ew in the Spring Cup.
