Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can find trainer comments /interviews from after the race?
Racingtv usually has the winner, but I'm interested in some of the places horses.

Rewatching all the graded races and particularly interested in anything JoB said about Zeus Power (among others)

…..ITV interviewed the Jockey’s going into the weighing room after most races, not sure if that’s available on re-run.

I backed ZP at 100-1 so was delighted at how he finished up the hill. Immediately thought NHC more than BANC but then somebody mentioned Stayers so I’d also be interested in whether they plan to keep him over hurdles.

Yeah stayers is where my mind went to immediately, not the youngest group and it isn't a sexy race anymore so is there for the taking in my opinion.

Yeah same looking at the breeding doesn’t scream chasing at all. Mind you, neither did Marine Nationale’s.

The way he came late too would suit the Stayers. I don’t think he’s the type to shorten too quickly though. I’m going to wait for the early season stable tours or an entry.

Also, if the BHA agree with the RPRs it’s going to be a very lowly rated race. So Coral Cup could even come into consideration.

The racing media seems to have moved on swiftly after Thursday and the Fact to File withdrawal, not helped by Gaelic’s superb subsequent performance.

I do wonder if Mullins and McManus are really a match made in heaven. With everyone clearly stating that it’s Willie’s decisions over owners on where to go to, this policy is set aside for the McManus team.

It’s common for that stable to be steaming into one just before the off, something which was very noticeable with the support for It Etait Temps at the expense of Majborough.

Was the Fact to File withdrawal an excuse to make it easier for Jonbon? Then Willie’s rant about the ground though he didn’t pull any other horse.

Then after winning on the outsider in the Triumph, when Patrick had Alice Plunkett shove the microphone up at him immediately post-race, he was very animated about the stress Willie is under and tellingly mentioned something along the lines of people telling him, Willie that is, all season, where the horses should be going. What was all that about?

OK, it could just be that everything with Fact to File wasn’t 100% coming into the race. He had a hard enough race at the DRF, but Willie’s on record that he’s one of his best and they always saw him as a Gold Cup horse. He was the horse where they went straight from bumpers to chases.

Am I talking rubbish? Not pocket talking either. I had a small win bet on Heart Wood from a few weeks back.

I know very little about breeding, but Goliath Du Berlais made some money at Cheltenham didn't he!

Monster Truck looks like he lives up to his name, might look for odds on the 2030 GC

He was a brilliant 4yo chaser. That 3yo crop was top tier - 4 top class horses in it and Pic D’Orhy arguably the least talented of the 4.

This race had 4 future grade 1 winners in it and none won. Just missing L’Autonomie.

He seems to have passed his size onto his progeny - just need to see if they have his talent.

Agreed. On that note, I really think Aguelid is a handicap chaser to follow next year. Been handled very tenderly this year over hurdles.

Yes can see him getting a sequence together early Autumn/Winter.

We haven’t seen too many of his over here but I’m sure they’ll end up better chasers than hurdlers.

They do seem very ground dependent. Don’t seem to go on decent ground. But an exciting one for sure. And the big trainers seem very keen on his progeny.

Do those self service terminals in paddy power/ladbrokes/boylesports in ireland have the ante post 2027 markets does anyone know? And any of the more obscure markets like dubai world cup/kentucky derby/breeders cup and so on?

Didn't expect to see Feel Gut entered on Sunday at Exeter

Another Junior NH hurdle. Takes the piss a bit to be able to win more than 1. One of Greatrex’s horses has won 3 I think and ran in 4. Surprised others aren’t doing it to get free experience in and leave them as a novice next year as well as being more easily eligible for festival handicap hurdles.

They're great for this, fitting in 5 quick runs before the spring isn't ideal whether they're trying or not.

Do they count towards the handicaps?

I actually think it's a bit of a joke they are even a thing, and that would only confirm my thoughts.

Guys if king of answers runs in Scottish national and it’s soft whatever beats it will win the race , I still can’t believe the start he got last Tuesday and to give as much ground away and finish 2nd was brilliant ,the Cheek pieces have improved him greatly

….ATR ‘eye catcher’;

KING OF ANSWERS

National Hunt Challenge Cup Novices’ Handicap Chase, 10 March

I feel a little for Derek Fox here as I really don’t think it was the plan to be where he found himself after jumping the first fence. King Of Answers didn’t appreciate the standing start and was slow to find his stride which left Fox with a tricky decision and all he could really do was sit and suffer.

Unfortunately for him and his connections, it was another race where the pace held up well. As a result, King Of Answers was unable to make up the ground to get to the eventual winner who was handy throughout, and he had to settle for an admirable second.

His jumping still doesn’t fill me with confidence, but he clearly has a big engine, and I’d say he has plenty of scope in his mark, even after the few pounds he will likely get for this effort.
