General Chat

Yes I have had that problem for over a month. The wheel on the side just keeps spinning. I have spent days on phone over that time trying to sort it out with no luck although they have compensated me with £25 in free bets! At the moment it has been escalated to the technical team but not heard anything for a week!
Out of interest what phone number do you use? These days I didn't think anyone had got one.

Having almost completed my bets for all races I am left with a small bank to play with
I was looking for some “ unlikely but might happen under certain circumstances “ nrnb selections
Obviously not looking for the obvious ones

Just covered No Drama This End / Albert Bartlett
King of Answers / NHC

Anyone got any suggestions ?
Kargese 16/1 nrnb for the mares chase is a no brainer. Unlikely but a setback for dinoblue or spindleberry could change things. If spindleberry was out for example paul might see an opportunity to be on both her and kopek if they went different ways.

No risk on what would be a short price if she did turn up.

She’s got no chance seeing out 2m4f on the new course…….yet.

I see that being said a lot and I think its probably nonsense really. I'd say she's better over two miles but there's very few national hunt horses who cant stay two and a half under any circumstances.

I agree with what you’re saying in principle, but with her way of racing it would be a negative.

DRF (ground aside) she went out to make all and blew a gasket late on. Even then, I’m no massive Dinoblue fan but think she eat her alive at Cheltenham.

I'd imagine they'd attempt to ride her a bit quieter when they do eventually step up in trip. She seems to be starting to calm down a bit finally over fences so they might be able to drop her in.

Bit of better ground too would help stamina wise. I do think dinoblue would beat her but if she did go she'd be nowhere near 16/1. So its a risk free back and lay even if you didn't fancy her. Highly likely money back though.

I think she would have a chance in the Champion Hurdle

There was talk of either her or JDG staying over hurdles

For whatever reason it never materialised

Over the course of the last 25 festivals, there have been 95 days of racing, equating to an average of 1.98 winning favourites per day at Cheltenham. Broadening the scope further, there has been an average of 7.52 winning favourites per festival since 2000.

Would he not just ride JDG?

ANy ideas what the averages are for the last 5 years?

Breakfast?

Dotty’s cafe in Swindon - that’s where we converge at for an early breakfast.

Best part of the day - quality sausages (most important aspect of a fry up) extremely accommodating, great service and not overly priced.

We then travel in convoy and in hope rather than expectation…not long now!

February 17: handicaps

Entries for all 12 handicaps across the four days must be made by midday on February 17, with no option for scratchings or supplementary entries. Expect horses to appear in multiple races before connections decide on their final targets closer to the festival. The weights for each handicap will be published one week later on February 24, with any horse to win a race from February 22 onwards to carry a 5lb penalty (although such a penalty cannot increase a horse's weight above 12st).

Horses must have run at least four times over fences to qualify for a non-novice handicap chase (three times for novice races) and five times over hurdles to qualify for non-novice handicap hurdles (three times for the juvenile contest).
