2026 Novice Hurdlers

When you work in racing, if you are given a stable pass the GC are given your name, DOB and all other relevant information(who you work for ect ect) so if you hold a Betfair account it becomes a monitored account (they don't really bother with other accounts much), you can back horses from your yard, you can also lay those horses too, BUT you can not profit from a lay bet, any betting thats out of the ordinary for you gets flagged immediately, you can not profit from knowledge that isnt in the public domain either, there's a fair few rules and its worded different, but there's little signs dotted about most yards in communual areas on all this stuff so you can't claim ignorance if you get caught out.

I have been saying it for years. Any horse that gets injured, soon as it is confirmed by a vet should be put on a public injured list with an estimate of how long it will be out for. It would go 'some' way of both parties getting a fair deal.
Wouldn't work, an injury can only be looked at by the vet on the yard, any major scans needed to determin time off due to extent of injury has to be done at an equine hospital, you couldn't carry the equipment used in a car/van.
Also if one is injured during some work or exercise then some folk would be getting the word out to lay the horse before a vet is even on the road to the yard.

But maybe you can back the other horses around the one you think/know isn’t running?…….and what’s this info worth to there that may not being tracked by the GC?

May not always win, but you will over time as we know, as you are backing horses at inflated prices

anyone seen info about old park star and supreme. hes been smashed for the race but I can't see why...delayed reaction to hendo saying hes 2 miler?

In the stable tour just posted by Eggs, Twiston davies state they're going Betfair hurdle with un Sens A La Vie, they've won this 3 times and all 3 winners went on to run in the SNH, none won but USALV is available at 100/1 for the SNH at the moment with Hills, with the Old Park Star formline that price might collapse if he went well in the Betfair, infact it might shorten anyhow once NRNB kicks in, just saying you've not got to lay out plenty but could possibly end up with a interesting little ew poke for March.

Reckon it is just that..... Henderson saying he's a 2 miler. Connections do also have Act of Innocence but on a line through Sober Glory (Albeit bumper form) and indeed his debut win, Old Park Star is their Number 1 chance for the opener at this current time IMHO.

Yeah, I would agree that OPS is number one, although AOI after another run might change my view!
After watching both and listening to trainer and jockey, plus the fact they are same owned, I decided to look at AOI for Supreme and OPS Turners and backed accordingly.
I’m now going to cover the possibility of them switching races.
I’ve just watched their respective races again, and OPS looks the more forward to me having had two runs over hurdles.
AOI’s next run may well be crucial in any decision for him re Cheltenham.

Right now my gut tells me that both will be in both races and late decisions will determine where they go.
If they were different owners It would alter my thinking and I would have both for Supreme as Hendo much prefers the race. But they ain’t and logic tells me that if they both prove good enough then the owners would try to win both races.

Incidentally…..anyone know why the owners left Nicholls?
I was thinking it may be a fall out re Ginnys Destiny?
Just a guess though.

Am i the only one who wasnt impressed with Act of Innocence? Dont think he will be anywhere near festival quality, on the other hand OPS couldnt have been more impressive, so pretty sure he will be the supreme horse after that last showing. AOI will fit in around him if he finds a large amount of improvement on his next run.

Probably not!! Game of opinions after all.
I thought in the main he jumped well for a first hurdle run, and quickened nicely on the run in.
Next race will be more telling I would think, and imo more fair to judge.

I think AOI was good, but then I watched OPS on debut, and that turn off foot, especially around Kempton, was actually pretty impressive, then what he done the last day at Cheltenham was very good indeed.

He's giving me more Shishkin vibes than he is Altior or Constitution Hill though. He'll probably win the Arkle next season :ROFLMAO:

A (late enough) move for The Reverend on the exchanges for the Supreme, prior to declarations, last matched @ 20.

Still 33's with cash out for those interested.

I know @Istabraq is keen 🤑
