I've had a 3pts on Final Demand and 2pts KDB.

Didn't expect Final Demand to be a big as that.

I think I make this a better play.
Arkle winners are often the best place to start when looking for the following seasons champion 2 mile chaser bar champions retaining their crown, so if you think KDB is the most obvious Arkle winner then the bet is a no brainer, a win in March and I'll guess he'll get a 5/1 champion chase quote.
Not sure how much they let you have on them sorts of bets but if I could I'd chip away at that over a few weeks...

I only have betfair left out of the flutter accounts so had the max allowed on FD. If they let me, I'll be topping up on FD. I'm keener (is that even a word?) to side with FD because I think he'll have a shorter sp if everything goes to plan.

With 16/17 months to go, they probably aren't markets that are worth getting too involved with tbf.

…..before he ran, I’d be sure I posted Lads offering 33-1 Final Demand BANC/GC but after his debut they went 12-1 (then reduced to 10s before reverting back to 12s).

Definitely 33's, I think I latched on to this and backed this at the time.

Obvious risk, at the time, of him not looking great over his fences, but it's looking better now, for sure.

Let's hope he gets to each race in one piece now.

Jango kg/Ryan would interest me
Watched th'uppin th'anti earlier on. Dineen is absolutely convinced he is a Gold Cup horse. He probably is but has plenty of time. The British trainers don't seem to have the patience of the Irish trainers though and would rather just throw them in rather than let them develop first.

I was thinking something similar today at work. I know it's a different discipline but we know in the past few years, Willie has kept his better bumper horses away from Cheltenham and they thrive. I haven't checked the past results but i think it's since Facile Vega and American Mike slogged the guts out of each other in that bog. Neither horse lived up to their expectations afterwards. Facile Vega's breeding should have seen him winning a lot more. I know he sadly died early on and breeding doesn't always guarantee success but the stable must have been bitterly disappointed, same applies to American Mike who is now a handicapper and has been for some time. Robcour won't send one to the Bumper for that reason. The fear of breaking their horses before they get going and by and large, you look at their horses and they continue at graded level into their veteran years. There are many things the British could be doing to stem the flow of the Irish dominance but a bit of patience would go a long way. You obviously need the ammunition to go to war with too but there are 5 or 6 British trainers making great strides in the game and are starting to get backed with very expensive horses. Harry Derham is one that seems to be going the softly softly approach and i bet it reaps rewards in a couple of years.

Probably upset a few this but Fact To File in the Ryanair a tougher opponent then anything in the Gold Cup like. Can completely understand why they might lean for the GC. Not to mention the obvious prestige of the two races...

It's potentially a good year to have a crack at it as well as the BANC lot from 2025 look poor enough (appreciate some think there's value there).

As a man of impeccable efficiency can you keep an eye out for a Myretown special to win Hennessy and National ?

Knowing Hendo, I think he may well look at the last two winners of the race and 3m2f at Cheltenham as tougher.

However, a cover bet for the gold cup might be in order.
Could go either way .

…currently 66-1 with PP, Ista, but Lads did offer 80-1 last Sunday (see post #1013) (y)

That 66-1 is in PP NH season specials, the Lads offer has now been taken down but I’d imagine Hills will have one soon.

Re the bumper horses, it’s a mixed bag really. Didn’t do Jasmin De Vaux (winner) or Fact To File (second) any harm with there seasons post bumper to date.

This next 2 years are prime age for Jango to go for the Gold Cup. Surely a second season novice rising 7 or 8 is ideal, couple with him only having 10 lifetime starts so could potentially be vast improvement to come?

…..Lads ‘Black Friday’ offers;
