2025 Antepost flat racing

Some big prices with Hills on their Jockey club . Arc special doubles: Ridari 150, Sinileo 125. Cualificar 250
As the sinileo one is a bit crap considering the circumstance I've found a way around it and done it manually by using the money back if second market and it allowed me to just put it in a double with him at 50/1

Best horse came second, great ride by Wayne Lordan letting Ryan through on the rail, any other horse and he would have been boxed in

Not sure about that like. Can't see too many excuses for the second. Best horse won imo.

Other than the fact that soumillon was bumping into him all the way up the straight and then gave the O'Brien runner a rub on the head and Ryan a high five after the race, clearly nothing there

:D you sound very bitter about it. Hope everything is okay.

Had every chance to win his race as wasn't good enough. The best horse won on the day. Hoping for a hard luck story to get him beat (blaming other jockeys for giving him a gap) probably tells you as much.

The RP comment of 'always held by winner' sums it up nicely.

I'm not blaming other jockeys I'm saying it's clear team tactics, did you not understand?

I understand you're saying they let him have him have a gap. So all horses got a good run. And the best one won. If you're relying on him not getting a gap to win then he's clearly the best horse.

The 2nd got a fine run. As Buick has said himself.

“He’s run a blinder,” said Buick. “I thought I had a really good trip and he’s come through the grades quickly"

Doesn't sound like he's considering himself unlucky... Or was he in on it as well?

Given the weather forecast and the fact they've been watering the course, who on earth is backing desert flower at 6/5

Potentially pissing all day at Epsom for Derby Day which must put doubts on Ruling Court staying on soft ground.
So I've backed Stanhope Gardens ew as a backup

Jan breughel has a huge long stride

Calandagan was produced to win, but he'd have a squiggle next to his name for me. He's a bit of a dog in a finish.

I'd say it's been a pretty poor flat season so far the guineas and Irish guineas apart

Just seems to be no superstars about and obrein is mopping up with his usual boatload of good but not brilliant horses.

Hoping to see something special in the derby today to get my enthusiasm back.

I have backed ruling court, who has drifted out to 10.0+ on betfair and il just chance as the guineas has worked out well. Suspect the front 3 are all hugely promising horses. The stamina/ground worries are now factored in to his price.

Plus the unbeaten aga khan horse midak

But they are only small bets and I'm hoping to see something spark the season for the middle distance horses into life. As the older horses are modest.

It looks a wide open race FF, especially with the ground, each way 4 places, so I've gone for two superstars 🤣

Pride Of Arras & Lazy Griff

Good luck all

Just going to throw this one out there, it could be very stupid but Maranoa Charlie for the Golden Eagle, no idea its the plan or whatever but he seems like a potential ideal type for it

Had my first bet in absolutely ages on Rosallion e/w at 5s. Just checked the result at work. Feel robbed hahahahha

I had a feeling field of gold would get beat as hes has a long hard season.

Least I get my money back I guess. But geez 150/1.

Dutch Decoy 66-1 Betvictor (general 16's)
Friday Goodwood 2-30

Think it's a rick.
Might not run as only 2nd reserve.
If does run then stall 8 not bad - as they can win from anywhere in the golden mile.
4lb well in. And he's only 3lb higher for a good win by 3l last time out.
He was second in the race last year off rating of 90, and 3rd year before off 93
Running this year off 82 on the back of 2 wins.
Just tried to get my bollocks on it, and they wouldn't let me.
But worth a mention I reckon.
You'll definitely beat SP if he runs, and he may even go off single figures when people spot his mark and form in the race previously.

It's an awful result for racing imo.

Genuinely not sure I can think of a star at any distance over either code currently in Europe... About as bad as it's ever been.
