Someone remind me, when's the cut off for horses to have their last run to qual for hcaps?

4 weeks today until the festival, I'd be put off by anything running between now and the festival personally.

Hoping you are wrong HTR as we still need Cons Roc to win a PTP asap in order to qualify for the festival Hunters Chase

….not sure if races like Imperial Cup and Morebattle carry bonuses this year but they were always a bit of late interest.

The Imperial cup bonus has been brought back recently so someone will be attempting the double.

Anyone recall when firms start to refund nrnbs? Did some do it after scratchings? Some after 48 hours Dec's?

Kevloaf as a fellow fan just thought I'd let you know if My Drogo wins the hunter chase at Haydock over the weekend he qualifies for the Foxhunter, currently not priced up though.

Haha, that is amazing

Image the scenes if he wins at Cheltenha, we would have to have a forum plunge :indecisiveness:

I "THINK" that in most cases, NRNB are refunded for these races at 6 day decs (as there is still an opportunity to supplement)
* as unlikely as this is - if they've just been scratched....

From memory, Handicaps will be refunded at entry stage (if not entered) - as there is no supplementary stage (this will vary from bookie to bookie)

Can anyone else offer any further clarity?

UPDATE - MGM have already refunded NRNB on Arkle.... (So maybe I'm wrong...)

….Grand National weights this afternoon.

Guys has Spectre hinted a rough date for the Annual Forum Plunge this year? I enjoyed the whole set up last year?

….he posted this last month;

Yes very much up for doing the Naiad as usual this year. Obviously assuming Kev is happy to set us up.

Timing is very much about confirming the target race and the combination of leaving it as late as possible, while trying to do it before the price goes. The ideal is about two weeks beforehand, but sometimes my hand is forced and we have to do it sooner.

I'm working from shortlists at the moment, and trying to confirm running plans. The one I had at the top of my list I've been told won't go to the Festival at all, so it reiterates the need to get confirmation beforehand.

Willie has scratched IEP, C'est Ta Chance, and Mistergif today. All were potential rides for JJ Slevin. Unless I'm missing something, that leaves Jasmin De Vaux as the only double green horse in any novice hurdle or novice chase ... and he could well be Paul's pick. Historically, the double green have liked to run something in most races. This seems a slight change of tack and leaves JJ with little to ride for them as stable jockey.
