Hopefully those 9 Grade 1s will thin out, now we know most of the form we are going to see is exposed and out there.

Good bump on this key date Eggs

I'm not strong on where I think Kawaboomga will run, just think there's a chance he goes supreme and that what Willie said post race counts for very little.
They'll run the horse where they want to and tell Willy so.

Pretty sure all trainers of JP horses are generally told to be as tight lipped as possible, unless it's blatantly obvious.

Like I mentioned, if JP was more impressed with Final Demand, then this may sway his choice somewhat, but he might not have been.

Understood. My language was lazy as I realised you were open minded with regards his destination. I do think Willie has somewhat backed himself into a corner . Be fascinating to see where Kawa ends up.

I'm still praying they broke down like this

Kel Histoire, Kaid D'Authie Supreme
Kopek Des Bordes Turners
Final Demand Albert Bartlett

This would be perfect for my antepost bets. Really worried as Wullie keeps saying KDB is going Supreme though. I can't be certain but I seem to.remember him giving a bum steer last year and hope it defo is this year.

Personally I think the only way Kopek goes Turners now is if Final Demand picks up an injury and even then I wouldn't be certain that it would happen.

I seem remember I'd read Final Demand was intended to run at the Albert Bartlett before he ran last time. One can only hope

I think you can write off any hope of final demand to the bartlett. Willie has said turners, owners have said turners and have two other horses for bartlett. Only person who would want him in the bartlett is townend, and I don't think that's important enough for trainer and owner to change their mind. And it's not as if there's a huge fave in the bartlett that could have a setback and lead to final demand switching race.

Kopek to turners I'd still say there's a chance though, but I think you really need final demand to miss cheltenham and leave the turners looking easier to win on paper than the supreme. Even at that I'm not sure he'd switch, as he's now the number one supreme hope and can be keen.

…for information Saxon Warrior is updating the ‘new’ handicap threads with race condition in post #1.

As soon as the entries come out I’ll pop them into post #1 for all the individual handicap threads.

In the last week, Henry De Bromhead has had 2 winners from 6 runners. No favourites running either. Small sample size and nothing conclusive, but perhaps the green shoots of a timely recovery of form.

He's never one I'm too worried about when it comes to form prior to Cheltenham. I can't remember specific years as an example but I feel like it's been a regular enough occurrence over the years for people to be questioning his stable form at some point earlier in the season only for them to spring right back to form before Cheltenham.

Regarding Kawaboomga discussion earlier, on the update today Willie said he could still go to the Supreme or Turners so looks like nothings been decided yet and he wasn't leaning one way or the other.

As others have said, depends what JP wants to do. He has the 2nd fav in the Turners already with TNL so you'd think he'd want a live one in the Supreme as well and Boomga is the shortest priced of his potential runners.

Reminder for everyone it's scratch day today.

I've missed a couple of them and lost bets unnecessarily because of it but on the ball this time thanks to Eggs reminder yesterday :encouragement:
