I think Caldwell Potter is a bit of a dodgepot. Untrustworthy and quirky and that's without any injections.

I guess it depends on your definition of dodgepot. My definition of a dodgepot is a horse that is always heavily fancied but regularly lets you down. Thats the very definition of Caldwell Potter.

He's 21113 over obstacles

Got beat a length or so by an odds on its for me and simply failed to stay 2m4f last time

He loses today though il agree hahahaha

Was an excellent ride by the jockey on Gidleigh Park.

This is why I rarely do roll ups anymore. My theory these days is if you need to roll up a horse then you can't think there's much value in the antepost bet. Otherwise you'd just place a single.

Caldwell jumped and travelled well just not good enough. Can be no excuses. He's just not a grade 1 animal.

will add this as another value loser to my long collection having gone from 6/5 to 4/6

Value pays in the long run doesn't it :boxing:

I'd say he lost the race in the first furlong when he didn't lead.

The pace gidleigh set at the start ran the finish out of him.

can be no real excuses though. A Grade 1 animal wins that race. He's just not that good.

My 3.5pts pales in comparison to the 750k the owners have thrown in the bin.

A mind boggling fee when you consider the prize money in jumps racing and him being a gelding.

One of CP's owners picked David Moyes as his replacement so good sense and judgement might be lacking these days :biggrin-new:
