All said and done they still have to beat FORTE who has all the proven form and just looks amazing at the moment.

Just hope we get a dry track

2000 Guineas looks to have a few non stayers and horses who could well be better over further.

Think I might chance Indestructible each way. Although he'd be a pretty poor winner in truth.
 
Was wondering if Weld not having a winner yet this season was the negative it seemed for Tahiyra, and is being suggested in some places.

But having looked into his form a bit more he's 10 placed from 25 on the turf this season, with very few that strongly fancied and some decent priced placed efforts. Also 78% RTF over the last 14 days. So I'm not concerned by it.

She won on debut when he wasn't in great form either. I'm not overly concerned.
 
Had a small play on Secret Oath-Wet Paint double tonight both if run to form should win
 
Silky Wilkie in the Palace House my only other bet tomorrow. Think things could suit him here. May have completely lost the plot with this one but another big price that only requires a nibble at. Two Karl Burke runners as well, which is purely coincidental. E/W double though :wink-new:

Forte scratched from the derby, come on mage!
 
Both of O'Brien's flopped. Flying Scotsman pulled like a train and was still up there. Chaldean won well. No idea why they thought to water the course with rain forecast either :indecisiveness:

Little big bear completely ruined royal Scotsmen race

Impeded him and got him lit up

Didn't do auguste rodin any favours either

What happens when you give a 2yo their head for 5 races over sprint trips then just expect them to settle when held up and get a mile

He was having none of it, completely blew his top in the first 2 furlongs and predictably tailed off

Wouldn't be surprised if we hear both LBB and auguste rodin finished lame

The front runners were essential 1000/1 at that point

I've several backed since January but one I like at the prices is Mage 25/1
Twice raced and twice finishing behind KD favourite Forte the last of which just a length second in the Florida Derby after a bad break.
Showed improved form at the level on just his second start reversing form with Cyclone Mischief when getting the better of him in a stretch battle. Has been beaten by Forte twice now but 4th on debut in the fountain of youth was a highly encouraging debut and his beyer improved second time out when getting first run on Forte and succumbing late on.
IMO he's great value based on form and evident improvement from debut to next time out I'd have him more like a 12/1 shot behind the principles. Practical Move won't stay, Tapit Trice will have to pass probably 15 horses and encounter major traffic issues, Sotagake may go off too quick with something else and ruin his chances.

Fairly sure the 25's will still be available for a little while after the post draw so maybe worth holding fire until then just incase he gets a terrible draw but for me he's value at that price if lining up in 4-16

Cheers parimutuel Mage done us proud and happy to hear that others were on and took some money off the bookies! :eagerness: Castellano gave him a great ride, nicked a spot on the rail with some quick thinking after a less than ideal break, that move won him the race, saved him enough ground/energy to not get run down in the stretch like last time and he was probably lucky Forte scratched but would have been interesting to have seen the rematch he may well have reversed the form. Could see him progressing and peaking nicely for this race and 25's was a steal of a price based on what he'd achieved in his short career. Likely not a triple crown winner but loved cheering him off the home turn today he was great. :applouse:

WD. Lovely call that.

Weld got a winner yesterday, ahead of Tahiyra day. Couple of chances at Leopardstown for another winner before as well. Might add some doubles and trebles. :welcoming:
