Oddly Gordon Elliott only has one qualified so far, so no doubt he will pack out the entries for the Leopardstown Qualifier tomorrow - for next weeks race.

That race's prize fund has been enhanced to compensate for losing the big pot Bective Stud 3M HcapH to the weather at the weekend.

Big day for pertemps tomorrow but Remastered probably booked his place in the National with todays impressive win.
Looks a better horse this season after a breathing Op and I wonder if they'll take a prep over hurdles in this race.

I know we've been here before but:rolleyes: - mark of 141 over hurdles is likely 10lb better than his chase mark after today.

Believe it was mentioned on another post rather than this one but does anyone know if the cancelled/postponed Pertemps qualifiers are to be rescheduled and/or what it means for qualification if they aren't...

He'd be of interest if he qualified. I thought he finished off his race well today after a less than perfect run through the race.
 
Not sure I can take the heartache of Remastered not running again.

I'm gunna miss Davy Casually getting a horse to finish 5th or 6th haha Suppose 3rd or 4th is the new 5th/6th! Gordy has a shit load out, let the games begin!

He was balloted out last year off 133 I believe? This year there'll be even less qualified by the sounds of it, and he's 8lb higher. Think he'd be almost certain to get in. I'm guessing it's the intention again, with him having qualified.

Been my only handicap bet so far. Think he's a fairly nice each way bet.

Although something could well emerge from the Irish qualifiers that's far less exposed of course.

Maybe if he wins another handicap like that off his new mark which will surely be 135-140

His old trainer must be feeling pretty sheepish right now, unless this was the plan all along and his job was to make the horse look as bad as possible before the stable switch.

I don’t think anything that’s won a qualifier has ever won the final - I’d be surprised if there isn’t something better handicapped on the day once the handicapper’s had his say & the UK handicapper adds on his tax!

….Maxxum was 40-1 to win today & the Final. According to Saxon’s Planner, the race has produced a few Final winners but only Cuneo has won it & placed in March.

I think that stat is weakened this year, as the first four home element makes it much harder to sneak one in.
I've definitely ignored that this season.
