2016 Neptune Novices.

Why isnt Long Dog shorter for this ? Is it his name.

Ma Du Fou cut on OC and exchanges today. It would be great if he shows up.

Rich Ricci at tonight's preview - Long Dog has the form in the book and will go to this race, doesn't expect him out the frame. Yorkhill will run in the Supreme.

Min is still entered here :devilish:

They wouldnt would they ?

Barry G - Yanworth

He said: "He did it really well. He travelled brilliantly and jumped nicely. He will improve a little bit too for the experience around Cheltenham. He felt good and he quickened well.

"I was happy at every stage of the race. He took me into the race lovely and, once he jumped the last well, I knew that it would take a very good one to catch me."

"I just felt the step up in trip would help him and thankfully it looks like it is working out.

"He has definitely got the pace to be smart and that is half the battle. He takes you into a race easily, which is what you want, and that is what a good horse does.

"It was his first big test, but when you have a horse like him that travels well the step up in trip always feels like you are on a winner. It's not until the last couple of furlongs that it might come undone.

"He travelled well, which you would expect, we rode him accordingly and he bounded up the hill."

You are always delighted to see them win like that but he will have a bigger test in March so hopefully he will find it as easy in a bigger race. He is definitely giving me good vibes.

"I didn't ask Yanworth for anything really, a squeeze was all he got, so he probably had more left, and the winning time was good.

"He's still a bit immature, too. It would be great to think he could improve again for that, while I'd hope he would be be better on the spring ground as he has the pace to go on it.

"It was interesting to hear Alan King say afterwards that he could be as good a horse as he has had. That's some statement.

"It's hard to say how good he is. He has potential. Some don't materialise and some do.

"Hopefully he does materialise as he definitely gives me the feeling that he has great potential."

Yorkhill as short as 3's on PP. Also blue on BetBright.

If he ends up running here we should know in the future to always back the opposite of what RR, Rb and WM quote.

Has GW actually quoted the Supreme or was this from the above guys?

Looking at the odds you would be afraid something happened Yanworth ?

I would more lean to Yorkhill being a live contender for a win purpose. He is the only horse in the field that can challenge Yanworth for favouritism.

Yorkhill blue across the board for the Supreme, over 10/1 for this on the machine

Complete flip flop now - smashed up for the Neptune into 4s on betfair with Yanworth weakening.

Bellshill saved for Aintree ? Doesnt look strong for anything.

PM's nap was lay Yanworth, which is a tip in itself that ones of thier horses (most likely Yorkhill) will beat him.

Is it though?

There are only so many short price favourites that he can realistically 'lay' and most of them are his Dad's... Which only leaves Yanworth and Thistlecrack as favourites for any race below 2/1, and seeing as they don't have anything in the World Hurdle I'm not surprised he's picked Yanworth as his lay

Just trying to second guess that camp again.

I think the telling point is that he was asked for a nap so he could have chosen anything to win, instead he thought the best bet was a lay of Yanworth

Thinking one of thier horses has Yan's number?

I remember watching Yorkhill before Christmas and he looked like a flying machine, real kick at the end, so if he's thereabouts at 2 out he must be in with a big shout, plus Yanworth has looked impressive beating horses that probably didn't act on the ground. We've all been here before with several hotpots that we stick in accas and how often do they come off, there are no donkeys running at the fez, they're all the best of the best so nearly all the hype horses will be facing a bigger challenge than through the rest of the season, even Douvan could fail if he doesn't bring his A game, none of them are unbeatable, just a couple are unlikely to lose
