Queen Mother Champion Chase 2020

DDS is 6th of the 8 declared on official ratings. Cant understand why UDS isnt favourite. It is not as if he looked regressive at Punchestown. 4/1 with 8 looks like total ew thievery.

I don't want my B365 account closed!

Politologue is 50/1 with B365 to win Tingle Creek and 2020 Champion Chase. Looks a fair price as I would expect him to be less than 10/1 for the CC if he wins on Saturday

Tends to find one too good though doesn't he. Looks like a good bet but in reality I don't think it is.

Think that is very fair. He's the winner for me on Saturday and with Defi then reverting to the Ryanair and doubts over Altior, he'd have a big chance in March on going one better. 50/1 to win Champion Chase could look very sweet come Saturday evening.

What makes you think he will reverse form with DDS, even more so when you look at his record fresh. Don't think the 1lb swing would have stopped Defi LTO

Is it not a 3lb swing? Think Politiologue will be better at Sandown going RH . He jumps superbly, the quick railway fences will play to his strengths and he'll get a nice lead from Oruna and UDS. Think they would have left a bit to work with from Cheltenham. Defi may be more inconvenienced by track, faster pace and fences coming thick and fast. Can see him hitting a few and struggling for any rhythm. It simply won't be run to suit.

Its a 3lb pull for 1 1/4l. Politologue beat DDs 1 3/4l behind Altior last March. Works out exactly!

Thought it was 1. Defi is only 6, still think he's on an upward curve. Not much more to know about Politilogue

Agree Defi is on up but still feel he is better over further and especially at Cheltenham. Deep down I think Hobbs feels the same. Can't blame him though for going for T Creek with the prize money on offer and no Altior.

He's 5/1 and available at 25/1 to win the QMCC. How does 50/1 work out to be good?

What am i missing

Because after winning Saturday he'll be no more than 10's to win Champion Chase. A ticket for 50's would look good then.

On that basis (10/1 post race) it's still a bad bet

1pt on at 5/1 Saturday => 6pts
6pts on at 10/1 for the CC => 66pts

So 65/1 for a double to roll on.
Would also give you the opportunity to still get a better price and get your original 1pt back effectively then being a free bet in the race. Only becomes attractive if you believe he'll be 15/2 or less after the race?
Always wary of these big doubles. Sometimes they work out but more often than not big prices likes 50/66/100s aren't actually as attractive as they sound.

That said the 14/1 Defi is actually in and around what I'd assume the double rolling on would be (13/8 Saturday and imo would be 5/1 CC)

Nearly always shit bets them rollover ones.

Some of the Dublin festival ones were handy though especially if you've not got a good one covered.
Worth remembering for anyone that's annoyed they've not got one on side and missed the price.

doesn't quite work for me Jono. You say that if Defi wins Sat he goes 5/1 but if Politologue wins he goes 10/1. I just feel that Politologue is a value bet in the Tingle Creek and put a small bet on the double to give extra interest

You may be right but I expect Politiologue to be nearer 3/1 Saturday and if he wins impressively then 10's Champion Chase may not be available at all. You pays your money....

Perfect conditions and pace likely for Defi Saturday.
Should stamp his authority, and win impressively.
It's a stiff old finish from that Pond fence.

They are different horses with different profiles. Defi is already 10/1. Politologue with the best will in the world isn't going 5s after a Tingle Creek
