County Hurdle 2019

Added Apples Shakira at 20s NRNB. Could be on a decent mark (140) if she rocks up here. Has course form but not been seen a lot this season.

Am i mad that I can't get away from Mr Adjudacator for this? The awful form of last years Triumph and a poor run behind Espoir D'Allen on his last run should put me right off but I can't get away from the thought that they've put the horse away in order to keep it's handicap mark.

I've never forgiven myself for not backing Arctic Fire for this because of the lack of a prep run (albeit a much longer absense).

I'm not sure they're similar at all to be honest?

Mullins doesn't really campaign them to protect a handicap mark for the festival... and Arctic Fire came in with placed form from a previous CH.

Farclas has done nothing for the form either... it's hard to say he's well handicapped on ANY of his form?

Oh I'm absolutely not comparing Arctic Fire to Mr Adjudactor qualitywise, just Mullins has history with training horses that are lightly raced or are coming back from a break in order to win this. I think he trained a lightly raced Thousend Stars to win this years ago too.

Already mentioned how poor last years Triumph form has worked out but Mr Adjudactor has a better H2H record up against Farclas so willing to say that that Elliot's horse winning last year was an anomaly for arguments sake.

If Espoir D'allen runs a massive race in the CH on the Tuesday, I might look again.

No doubting Willie's ability - I just think others improved past him...Saldier and Saglawy, the latter one that is probably on the radar.

Not knocking it, I'm just not blown over

Braced for an onslaught here but...

Ivanovic Gorbatov anyone?

NO !!!!!!!!!! ..........NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO, :highly_amused: !.

:highly_amused:

I always think these ex-flat horses have a short shelf life when it comes to down to sticking their neck out in NH races

I think i'd go for Brelade as a speculative 1 for this race.

Totally off topic but rewatching his Triumph I always thought he obliterated the field but Apples Jade was a lot closer than I remembered

Also stormy Ireland not entered here, whoever requested her at 20/1 last year must be devastated!

Hahaha:highly_amused:

I've laughed at that a few times during the year.
