Mares Hurdle 2019

Roksana has similar RPRs to SI and poss more progressive.....double price for EW bet

Dont think will beat BDD, but is my smaller alternative......plus Missy Tata interesting if goes

...after it’s run at Aintree last year, Skelton said this was a target for Roksana so I took a very early price (and mentioned it way back in this thread).

I know the Irish have a great record in these races, but it generally seems GB runners are overlooked and overpriced.

A lot of twitterati seem to think Laurina well go Mares whereas the few people I know with connections to connections in Mullins yard are all over BDD. I actually think Brain Power and Verdana are bigger dangers to front two in Champion Hurdle. I am contrary today.

Why has Verdana not been considered for the Mares race? Am I oblivious to the obvious?? Since last September I cannot recall her being considered when NH has Bu Vair Dair & Brain Power to throw at it.

She struggles to get up the hill over 2 miles, and get 2 miles competitively on soft so they must doubt her stamina.

FWIW, at this point, Altior asides, id have BDD is the banker of the festival.

According to Oddschecker
Ladbrokes going 5/2 Benie des dieux to win any race

Yes, she's an intended runner in this race BC.

and she finished a solid second ;)

I was a bit worried , cos i thought she is owned by chevely park , and they said they'll only
have 5 runners at the festival ??.and didn't see her mentioned .

Owned by sullivan bloodstock isn’t she?

Yes your right Muswell , I was getting myself confused !. So should be a runner and hopefully ( for me ),
in the Mares hurdle.

Ruby Walsh on Benie Des Dieux:

"Benie Des Dieux is the one I am most looking forward to. She is my best ride of the week. I am not one bit worried she hasn't run this season. It doesn't bother me at all. I wasn't worried when Quevega was going to Cheltenham without a run every year and I am not worried about Benie doing likewise".

Given AJ and Laurina are almost certain to go for the CH, plus Ruby and Willie saying this is their best chance, I have been surprised this has been 11/10 has been available this long.
