Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

A bit late now as its only several weeks away, but just seen this, Birchdales PTP win - http://youtu.be/aJX1tRB9gRA

Don't think we need another debate about it, but the market seems to have ignored trainer comments re- birchdale and most have him shorter for the bartlett.
I don;t really care cos I don't think he'll win either and have him backed at 28's for both.
I'd imagine it's simply bookies and a few punters assuming a separation, when I think this forum has concluded by majority that's not necessarily gonna happen.

Just by default I put it on this thread, as this was where he had been mentioned the most. Certainly wasn't put up in here to spark target debate that's for sure.

You should have that as your signature :highly_amused:

I like Dunvegan, looks a very useful animal. Will be interesting to see how he goes @ the DRF.

He was as big as 80 or 85 on exchange early last week , i instantly thought ahh that doesn't look good thinking trainer might not want to bring him over and just stay in Ireland rest of the season with Lepo then further spring festivals:confused: I am expecting a good run at the weekend and be fascinated to hear any future plans.

Not that it will mean an awful lot until they meet again but Brewin'upastorm been rated 1lb higher than Birchdale by Timeform.

FM - Thomas Darby - Ballymore, 25/1

Did you cash? I'm on the fence.

I'd definitely back brewin to beat birchdale next time. would you ? assuming they're about the same price that is.

I'm sure trainer has stated supreme - today on ATR

Already a winner at Cheltenham this season, the six-year-old made the most of having his sights lowered when bolting up at Taunton earlier this month, and the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle is likely to be his next port of call.

Murphy added: “He’s in good form. He had a quiet enough 10 days after Taunton, and the plan is to go straight to the Supreme.

“Again, he’ll probably be entered in a couple of handicaps. But all being well, he’ll end up in the Supreme – and if he gets a bit of nice spring ground I hope he’ll have a good each-way chance.”

Yeah, cashed out now. I knew he'd said that, I just tink he'd be good over further.... but doesn't look like I'll find out, might be a bit of a NRNB price a few weeks from now anyway just in case.

It looked as though that was going to happen over the weekend, and I have both covered, though Brewin'upastorm only in multiples, but Birchdale for me is the likelier for progression IMO.

I'm happy with my current situation though, so no need to worry in terms of form being overturned etc...

Yep, race deep enough for him to be a price n the day.
Should be running in betfair hurdle really, and brewinupastorm should have been entered also.
Not been that good placing horses this lad Murphy for me.

I cashed Kev. I can't see them going anywhere other than the Supreme if they go straight to Cheltenham.

I've got a 50/1 about Didtheyleaveoutto for this race. Seemed to go off the radar somewhat but I see he's 3rd fav for the Betfair. Can anyone see him lining up here?

I cashed out half stake ... left half.

I am not sure what set of circumstances would need to happen in the Betfair hurdle to realistically see him moving up and taking on the Ballymore field...

Added Dunvegan @ 33/1 (Hills)

A dual bumper winner, Dunvegan bolted up in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle in December, after which some shrewd judges complimented the six-year-old who Fahy is hoping can successfully make the transition to Grade 1 company in the 2m6f novice hurdle on Saturday.

He said: "Dunvegan goes for the Grade 1 over 2m6f. I think the absolute world of him. But don't mind what I think, if half the trainers who came up to me after he won at Fairyhouse are even half right, well then he's a machine.

"He's just gone from strength to strength and we think he's the real deal and that he's top class. We'll just have to see him against Grade 1 horses now and we'll know for sure.

"But I'd be confident if the real Dunvegan shows up and the ground is safe, he'll be in the mix. I'd be very disappointed if he didn't go close. I would be amazed if he didn't and I’m expecting him to be the real deal."

...appears a bit shorter for the Albert Bartlett. 25-1 with Hills in the ‘any race’ market might be the way to go.

Thanks Eggs, I missed him in the any race market. I still think he will go here but have added and boosted him to 27.63/1 in the any race market with Hills.

Does anyone think battleoverdoyen gets beat in the 2m6 on Sat?
Who By? And reasoning?
