Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

With Dunvegan, if you fancied him for the Cheltenham, would you be better off backing him at the 7/1 or 6/1 for the 2m6f race at the Dublin Racing Festival, and then back him again after he wins it?

Even beating Battleoverdoyen I can't see him going favourite, he'd still be value based on the connections, so if you fancy him, no need to rush to take the price IMO?

The shortest he could possibly go for me is 6/1, and the 6/1, 6/1 double is 48/1

Lit bit safer, money in yur pocket sooner, depends on how he runs but is he really really going to shorten more than that?

I think Battleoverdoyen will win this as long as GE is happy to run on the ground. He could frighten off a few too. You would think that this was the right trip for Commander Of Fleet which does make it interesting as to which he runs. Too far for Relegate and Annamix in my opinion so I make Dunvegan the main danger. If this cuts up, 6/1 could be an eachway bet to nothing. No surprise if Dorrell's runs and disappoints with an eye toward the MP.

Too far for Relegate based on what? She's shaped like a stayer to me.

Wouldn't have any surefire opposition to BOD, but i'd chance COF probably back to a trip + even Derrinross if the ground softened a lot.

Grant Copson (MNR) talking about Birchdale going Albert Bartlett like it’s already been decided. What have I missed?

Nothing Apart from Barry saying ....

"If I was asked for the highlight, I’d probably have to say it was the Nicky Henderson-trained BIRCHDALE winning the Grade 2 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday. I know many would have been disappointed that Brewin’Upastorm checked out at the final flight, but I didn’t mind!
It really looked to be all to play for at that stage and I’d say it was going to be a good battle, but we’ll never know what would have happened had he stood up. From my point of view, I was really happy with Birchdale.
It was only his second start under rules, a big step up in class for him and I felt he was learning as he went. I had to nurse him down the hill to get him to improve into a challenging position, but he was responding generously to what little I was asking from him and I felt he had more left to give at that stage.
From there, he just got very lonely when left a long way clear and didn’t do much up the run-in, which is understandable given he was going from winning a point-to-point at Tyrella and a maiden hurdle at Warwick on a Thursday to facing into a huge crowd of people in the stands at Cheltenham.
The whole experience is sure to bring him on again and he’s a horse you’d be looking forward to. Comparisons with Champ are inevitable. Champ probably has the better form in the book, but this fella is improving and should continue to do so. It wouldn’t be easy to pick between them at this stage."

If it's not easy at this stage to choose who to ride. It would be pretty easy should birchdale get another run in.

I can only imagine birchdale is looking over his box Shannon Briggs style taunting him for a dual on the gallops

If Barry went for Birchdale and they both went Ballymore, that’s not a major problem for me.

It would simply mean we got a better price on the day for Champ when he destroys them.

That'd be good for me also.

Then next year Birchdale eats Champ in the RSA. JP with the 1-2.

AP McCoy comes out of retirement in the 2021 season to send Champ off favorite for the Gold Cup to reverse the RSA form...

but Presenting Percy wins his 3rd in a row after picking up his 4th Galmoy Hurdle.

Pat Kelly punches Matt Chapman live on ITV

All the while Samcro is still running in the 2019 Champion Hurdle......

In all seriousness. I genuinely think birchdale wins this. But I also like more than 1 runner ideally. Really hoping battleoverdoyen does the business on Saturday, should he run. As id be dissapointed if he can't beat that lot.

Unlike you to be ultra positive on a Henderson horse :devilish:
