Fair to say all 3 of them did?
With Battleoverdoyen we won't have any clue which side of the Irish sea is stronger - but you can definitely make a case for all 4 of them?
I havne't backed Champ other than related double with Birchdale,m so as he's the shortest, and I've missed a price, I find myself wanting to 'get him beat'... but impossible to knock him based on today... whether it enhances his claims or not is harder. Brewin looks to have been a better horse today, than when they met?
Now I'm feeling more levelled headed.
Thoughts about today? Champ enhanced his credentials without running?
Birchdale a big baby doubt he will even run. Talented horse though.
AP in no doubt which is the better horse. He's a shrewd judge.

He said he'd have to choose him - meaning because of the name. Not much has been made of the fact that Birchdale (and Brewing) absolutely smashed up Jarvey's Plate - who some thought was quite good until yesterday.
With that interview and how the race unfolded looks pretty concrete that both Champ and Birchdale run here. Both certainly don't look like they want 3 miles yet,
- We know JP isn't averse to running 2 good ones in a race if the are best suited (My Tent Or Yours vs Jezki)
- Nor is Henderson (Ok Corral and Santini)
- And they are set up with splitting the job between Mark Walsh and Geraghty over the last 18 months for 2 good cracks at a race
Yes, I agree jono. Good examples.
Who do you prefer of the two?
I read the chat afterwards totally differently to Jono and Kevloaf.
I think they are desperate not to run Birchdale against Champ at cheltenham, hence all the talk of big baby.

Both individually valid arguments but...
Any examples of horses both hendo trained and J.P owned opposing in graded race?(Outside of pacemaker status?)
I'd be very surprised if both ran in this. Though expect both to be left in race till very late in case of injury.

Pretty small sample size you're allowing there though?
I can't think of any times Hendo/JP have actively avoided a clash? In most cases it probably makes sense.... but wouldn't you expect Frank Berry to put them in the races they have the best chance of winning?
