Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

How many go past depends how early it gets swamped but it will get swamped. Has no chance of winning.

To be fair I kind of agree, and can visualize this happening, but wouldn't be as sure as you appear.
I also like Quick Grabim and Aramon, but something tells me they aren't likely winners either.

Master Fisher & Pym were the inital hype horses for Hendo, then came along Angel's Breath, who looks very good, but never had Rathhill as a 'hype' horse, maybe I missed this?

Still think the JP/Hendo horse that goes for this and stays under the radar because of Champ, Birchdale & Rathhill is Champagne Platinum.

If they go Betfair hurdle then you may be right

Fingers crossed they do. I've backed him plenty, and with the recent exposure of Rathhill's weakness I'm more inclined to believe that will be the case as can't see Champ or Birchdale dropping back in trip.

COD,
I didn't see any Hendo gears today. The only gear I saw was when Barry got the whip out early.

Don't forget Epatante...

Henderson had a handful of exciting prospects to choose from at the confirmation stage, so it may speak volumes he relies solely on the JP McManus-owned six-year-old. He is a very burly horse, has plenty of gears - and two miles will do him for now," said Henderson.
"We decided to run him a week earlier at Newbury, because we wanted to give Rathhill extra time before the Tolworth."

Rathhill spent more time in the air than Jordan.

Agree DW, but they were only recent comments by Hendo, no prior 'hype' about this one before his debut, unlike the others. He wasn't on the radar of anyone on here that I can remember, before his debut run.

Doubt they'd go here.
I've been looking for mares and also four yr olds to run in this race for years and it rarely happens, especially now the mares novice race is in play. And her maiden forms poor
I can see your angle but I've been there before and disappointed.

for example
In 2017 JP didn't have a runner in the supreme, but ran Charli Parcs, Land of hope and glory and DEfi du Seuill in the triumph.
Despite all being reasonably short in the supreme betting.
Defi was rated 155 at the time and would have got 8lbs also.
I know these are four yr olds and not mares but it shows how they sometimes lack imagination.

Martin Pipe had more imagination and daring than all the current trainers put together.

The last horse aged 7 or older to win the race and only 1 of 2 since the turn of the millennium. I'd happily avoid the older horses myself.

Moon Racer would have hacked up though

Yes he did, and didnt debut till mid January either. JP no runner in triumph either that season, although henderson won it with zaynar.
Wonder how they make their minds up sometimes.

:highly_amused::highly_amused: What you drinking tonight Kev?

Haha nothing yet, he was mentioned within the last few days and popped into my head :highly_amused:

On that note, I'm going to go out...

Enjoy your evening all of you lovely, virtual people.

Scooby, what you think of Klassical Dream chance , I see you backed? Is it a cash out bet or you going to let it go to the Fest

ALL my bets are there with the intention to stay now, Nothing I have there is to cash for profit.

Made a good Introduction.
Will know more when he steps up in grade but his experiance in graded races as a juvenile with the likes of master dino stands him in good stead. He was a lot better juvenile than elexir de nutz and grand sancy. So will be interesting to see if mullins can get the same improvement out of him. Then he'd be in business.
