Cheltenham Bumper 2019

Not sure where to put this as hes not in betting for any races but Ask for Glory looked a nice type winning at Chepstow just then. He is one off the dossier. I actually just backed him to win by 10 lengths or more then at 25s and he won very nicely. Hes a 3 miler chaser in the making.

Beat me to it! Got to love those >10 length bets....

:highly_amused:

haha sorry, it was literally a last minute thought as he was short enough but he hacked in. If I put every bet of mine on here you would soon get bored haha

Haha :highly_amused:
well done jon great foresight.

Cheers Scoob, logic was if hes that special he will romp it which he did. Look forward to seeing him next time out.

A few of the other dossier horses have entries in next few days.

In fact just looking now and most have not been declared tomorrow. I am waiting for the following to run

Pragmatic
Thunder Down Under
Full Time Score
Press Conference

Mt Leinster declared tomorrow

Well that is one of them in the winners enclosure, Press Conference. Least I put this up before the race this time haha

Meticulous 33-1 B365, maybe worth adding prior to tomorrows race.

Did it well last time.

I'm not familiar with the jockey

Mt Leinster was way too keen in his last start at Punchestown.

So we’ve fitted him with a hood, which will hopefully enable him to show his true colours.

Considering the two market favs are unlikely to be heading Cheltenham, were we quick to write Mt. Leinster off?

Patrick says similar here also interesting line on the JPOB horse https://www.independent.ie/sport/horse-racing/patrick-mullins-rachael-blackmore-is-the-neil-armstrong-of-our-racing-generation-37664623.html

It had taken me a while to catch up on lots of replays but Master Debonair from the Tizzard yard is now on my shortlist. The comments pre and post race suggest he’ll be coming here and he’s very well bred.

He’s also been to Cheltenham twice so has course form as a plus. Even though he lost his seasonal reappearance he was only just touched off by a decent bumper horse that has collateral form to the hot Ascot bumper from last season.

I’d rate him a reasonable each way shout at the moment.

I’ve done some more digging on Master Debonair and I’m going to add him now. I found a quote from Joe Tizzard from his blog which was very bullish

“Master Debonair was another who finished second at the last meeting here, and we’re trying to find out if he’s good enough to be a champion bumper horse. He’s superbly bred, and more importantly he’s a racehorse. He’s sharpened up at home, and I really do like him a lot.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he won here, and if he does, we’d look after him until the Champion Bumper [at the Cheltenham Festival]. We have already schooled him over hurdles, but we do think he’s good enough to go down the Champion Bumper route first.”

Also, I’m a fan of the fact that not only has he ran twice at Cheltenham this season but both runs were in very quick times, even in comparison to some Champion Bumpers on similar conditions.

First race at Cheltenham he was half a length second in a time of 3m55s on Good to soft.
Second race Cheltenham he won in a time of 3m48s on Good ground.

As he tends to race close(ish) to the pace, having the ability to finish off his races in good times at a very young age (only 4) puts the performances in a high rank for me.

When you say add him.
I can't see his price altering much in the coming days

He’s going in some multiples with other horses who are due to run in the coming days.

My Leinster again given an easy race in defeat

Odd but they must be looking after him with a view to next year

Edit: Added Larqubuse at 33/1, given a shocker of a ride in defeat and fits a potential new trend of mares in this.

I also think Cheveley Park will have atleast one runner in this

I agree with the comments on the ride, certjantly seems like a game plan... I just can’t work out what it is
