Just been watching his [The Big Bite] races back, he's not actually been mentioned here until you did on page 85 which is surprising given how visually impressive he has looked.
Get's a decent mention in One Jump Ahead too. His jumping got better the further/faster he went.
Sat down to look at the Boxing Day racing and started at Kempton 12::50 (which is this race).... spent 28 minutes so far and I don't know who I want to win, who will win, or what I will be doing :highly_amused:
I have The Big Bite in my tracker ever since I read that book, but didnt really back it or took notice of his two wins until I was doing some studying for the 12:50 race, which looks to be a great one!
Totally agree with your comment, the further and quicker he goes, the better his jumping!
I really like Thomas Darby, I do rate him but needs to improve on his jumping. I think he'll be much better over a testing track, in a strongly ran race, potentially over softer conditions. I think Kempton will be too sharp for him on Wednesday, despite the 3lbs
I have Didtheyleaveuoutto as a complete speed horse with a great turn of foot. Good ground, race ran at a weak pace suits this horse down to the ground. I'm going to lay this horse in March, but think Kempton will be right up his street on Boxing Day.
The Big Bite could be anything here. Sounds like they are going down the Tolworth route which I think would suit
Didtheyleaveuoutto may have it his own way on Wednesday, but I expect both Thomas and Bite to pick up major honours in early 2019
