Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

I'm not sure any trainers don't get them ready for Cheltenham though.

Olly Murphy has zero festival winners so far, I'll not get too carried away by his genius just yet.

Long way to go for him until he's at the level of Skelton, let alone Elliott.

ALthough I obviously hope this year is his big breakthrough, I don't think it can be counted on just yet?

Time will tell.

Regarding Thomas Darby likely festival target , I just wonder does this particular horses owners has a say in designated targets.

Both Captain Chris and Menorah made winning festival debuts at 2 miles (arkle & supreme) though both became regulars at running over further. Does suggest Mrs Whateley buys horses for longevity , and no better way to achieving that by not sending them further than breeding suggests in their younger days.

Yeah, I had the same thought process, but not sure how much you can put on the owner tbh.

I think TD is better than Itchy Feet, despite some claims that Itchy Feet is the stables number 1, but a line through Elixir De Nutz, as Kev has said, would make me believe otherwise.

From what I read last season and preseason, Brewin’upastorm seemed to be Olly’s number 1 horse to follow this season. I’m getting worried about him though as he’s not had an entry for a while. His bumper form was also the best on offer too. The other one who is missing is Sangha River who was also highly thought of too. He was interestingly as Jamie Codd rode him on debut at Doncaster but is more of a speed horse so probably likely to go the 2m route if all is well and he’s good enough.

Brewinupastorm has an entry for musselburgh on monday.

After Black Op's near miss last season does anyone give Seven De Baune a shout in this for the same owner?

Obviously not much to go on with regards to form as his most recent victory was won in a canter and we didn't learn too much. Black Op done the same thing on his second start.

SDB's debut was against Thomas Darby over a trip too short but that form is still pretty solid given he wasn't beaten far over an inadequate trip.

Probably go under the radar a bit for a while, 33s with 365 so you could play him and see how he goes up in grade. May get found out again, but perhaps it was the trip. They did seem keen enough before he ran over 2m that he'd be fine at the trip but who knows.

Very true Kev. Certainly one I can sit on for a bit longer and see where he ends up next etc...

Managed to get a few shekels on Royal Rendezvous for this at 75 and 45 just now.

The price disparity between him and Commander of Fleet seems wrong considering they both beat the same horse about as easily as each other. He certainly looks more of a stayer too.

Fancy CoF will win this weekend, but hope to see RR push him all the way.

Well done with that. I added him and was waiting for it to go up a little more or be a bit more behind it .
Now I know who stole it :highly_amused:

Sorry :devilish:

Was tempted to wait for a bit more to go up I must admit!

Column of Fire, one that was going to have a quiet year, entered in maiden hurdle tomorrow....perhaps a slight change of plan

First thing I've done is look at a CoFleet / CoFire Supreme / Ballymore double :highly_amused: 25s and 40s

Out of hendos he's a load of nice ptp/ bumper horses. But with his form with vinndiation and being a 2nd season novice hurdler like mengli khan. CHAMP would interest me, I wouldn't go over board on him as he has a lenient lookong mark of 139 and enough runs that they might look to exploit at the festival in the martin pipe. However they could be sitting on him waiting to run him in something like the Lanzarote on route to here should he progress

Good run by champ

Had champ at some ridiculous prices last year but not even looked this year unfortunately

Another one who could have potential is Lone Wolf, half brother to Neon wolf and just beat Coloumn of Fire

Both JP horses, will be interesting to see which ones of his turn up for this.

Lone Wolf winning franks the form of Downtown Getaway again who beat him by 17.5 lengths last season. The second (Remastered) has also come out and won a few weeks back fairly impressively so the form looks decent. If Downtown Getaway makes it to the track soon, he could be a real machine.

He's a load more too. Champagne platinum. Rhinestone. Cool getaway, decalaige horaire, entoucas, DTLYOT, dickie diver,
Just to name a few.

Interesting why Willie wouldn't have bought him
From mags. He was buying big at the same sales. But neon wolf slipped through.
