If I was pricing it up, I’d say it’s 15/8 Fighting Fifth and 4/11 Hattons Grace

Plenty of rain in North east, I will be attending the Fighting Fifth meeting, and I would fully expect Samcro to turn up.
I just can't see past Samcro for this at the moment. If and it is a big if, he goes to the fighting fifth and beats BD surely he's 4/5f for this. I don't really see how he doesn't go there, plenty of horses were beat first time out, people lost their minds when Faugheen was beat by Nichols Canyon, the real Faugheen showed up in the Irish Champion. I'd a huge beat on Tiger Roll last week not to place at 6/5 then winnings have all gone on Samcro for the Champion.
That's a huge first if. When he just got beat by bedrock.
But beat Sharjah by 5 giving him 8lb, who went and won a poor renewal of the Morgiana. Tombstone & Wicklow Brave both beat by Bedrock in the build up to the Morgiana, but both beat further by Sharjah in the Morgiana would imply and confirm my initial suspicions that Samcro & Sharjah did indeed cut each others throats and set it up for Bedrock. Given both Sharjah & Bedrock were also race fit I'm happily putting a line through that for Samcro.
It's quite noticeable how different Sharjah was when he had pace to aim at, the same will be for Samcro and the Champion Hurdle will have pace on, as either Elliott and or Mullins will make sure of that if no one else does!

How I see it and how WPM sees it. Also the horse hadn't worked on grass, all Gordon's have improved for the run. Should he still be beating a race fit Bedrock, absolutely. Think he has still shown a decent level of ability in the run.
I really think i should have backed buveur dair at 7/2 for this. But i have a policy of not going short this year without nrnb. it's an ask to make it to the festival 4 years in a row. Not many of the championship winners make it back for there defence and he's won 2 in a row. That's there quite strong in my mind after what happened to the likes of faugheen, sizing john and others.
Altior was joined at Newbury by a handful of stablemates, including dual Champion Hurdle hero Buveur D’Air, who worked and finished upsides two stablemates under Barry Geraghty.
Just as he did last season, the JP McManus-owned seven-year-old is due to return in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle on Saturday week, but the unseasonably dry weather is giving Henderson cause for concern.
“Newcastle is the plan, but if that comes out of the equation – if it was good, good to firm – we’d all be worried,” he said.
“There is a problem looming, and while this wind is in the east you aren’t going to see much rain.”
Buveur D’Air has undergone a wind operation during the summer and Geraghty commented after his morning workout how much cleaner his wind was.
Henderson said: “He was always making a funny little squeak, but when you scoped him nothing was wrong.
“But I felt this had to be done and it was better not to wait any longer.”
