Foxhunters - a lottery with how they get on with the fences
So guessing:
Cat Tiger/Risk and Roll/Some Man/Tango de Juilley
though older horses (ten plus) have a good record in this race
edit:
1 Cousin Pascal 66/1
2 Latenightpass 11/2
3 Cat Tiger 11/2
Cat Tiger made a bad blunder late on but the winner seemed to jump well throughout. No surprise there was a big price winner here.Last edited by Supermaster; 8 April 2021, 03:39 PM.

Red Rum chase
Usually goes to a lower weighted horse e.g. Joke Dancer/Dostal Phil/Gaelik Coast/Grey Diamond
Edit:
1 Editeur de Gite 9/1
2 Sully D-Oc Aa 12/1
3 Dostal Phil 17/2
4 Frero Banbou 10/1
I can't help notice how French 3 of the 4 names are!
The winner was impressive - given the right conditions they might want to aim higher i.e.graded racesLast edited by Supermaster; 8 April 2021, 08:53 PM.

Obviously I'm not going to do that, but I've reigned my stakes in massively, and making a mental break from Cheltenham strategies (don't need to be covering multiple horses in a race, no need for tons of multiples) to treat it like a bit of fun, like a super charged Saturday
Have gone with
Fusil Raffles
No Bet
Clondaw Castle
Song for Someone
Sametegal
Sully Doc
Where's Maud Gone
Doubled Clondaw Castle and Sully Doc for their related form
Might have a crack atr the place pot with Adagio included

A dismal days betting for me today, hopefully the results today will look a lot better on paper in a years time than do right now but I didn’t expect those winners today apart from Monmiral. I do often struggle at Aintree, not sure if it’s the Cheltenham festival betting hangover or not really respecting the horses that bypass the festival for Aintree. Hopefully Henderson will finally get back to winning ways tomorrow because his form is dire at present

A small saver on protektorat was my only return
even monmiral winning doesnt make me feel better as it sounds like he's staying over hurdles not going to the arkle

Yes the winner scooted away and looked impressive but I just have the view it could have been been a right fight to the line had they both pinged the last...

"It's just hard for the novice chasers at five [years old] these days. They don't get much weight allowance in the spring and taking on the older horses in the spring is quite hard.
"If he had another year over hurdles it wouldn't do him any harm and then he could go novice chasing five into six.
"It might be nice to start him in something like the Fighting Fifth on a galloping track and then we'd know where we were going. It's something to think about over the summer."
