I'm on Mishriff myself as think that Irish Derby Westover won was awful. Good luck!

Actually had a bet today, on Bless Him. Ridden by forum favourite Jamie Spencer. Think with some firms offering 7 places he's a fairly solid each way option.

Essentially 1lb higher than when winning the Bunbury.

Almost certain he finishes an unlucky in running 8th now

Alan told Racing Post readers this morning that it would be premature for them to dismiss Trueshan when assessing next Tuesday’s Goodwood Cup.
It has been well documented that Alan won’t risk Trueshan on fast ground, but he has been encouraged by recent conversations with Goodwood clerk of the course Ed Arkell and revealed that if it was “genuinely good ground” (and looking at the forecast the first day is his best chance of getting that) then Trueshan would defend his crown from last year.

    Here's hoping!!!

The ground at goodwood is gd to firm gd in places at the moment and I can't see any significant rain in the forecast in West Sussex after today so can't see him running as it stands

Any rain that falls today will likely just mean they won't need to do any more watering to keep the ground as they want it unless it is a biblical storm that they are getting

Sounds very much like my fav flat horse Trueshan will run in the Goodwood Cup on Tuesday. Track has been watered extensively and thunderstorms are currently hitting the course. Fingers crossed the best Stayer in Europe will take his chance. If he does he'll surely go off favourite.

At this time of year the older horses still have an advantage over the 3yo's hence the WFA allowance. Older horses do have a very decent record in the King George. Broome exceeded expectations at RA and could do so again. An AOB/Ryan Moore horse at 20/1 in a 6 runner G1 field just jumps out of the page. Super race to watch though.

Pace angle the other question mark. Can see Broome or Pyledrive trying to steal it. But you're right they'd be disappointing quality winners.

Sounds like you've got a good price on the most likely winner though so you're well placed. I probably won't have a bet now to be honest because nothing is appealing to me that much.

TT actually the most interesting at the prices imo but you're right his worst form seems to be on good ground. And it's basically just the Arc form that stands out. Tarnawa
Still pissed off about that Arc

Tarnawa would've won half the track on decent ground

Way I see the King George is Broome sets the pace with pyledriver and Westover sitting just off him ensuring he sets a good gallop

Then the two gosden horses sitting just off them

If they go slow and it turns into a sprint mishriff surely wins as he's definitely got the best turn of foot of these

If they go a good pace I can see Colin Keane picking it up nice and early from Broome on westover and using his long stride to gallop the rest into the ground up the stiff ascot finish

Should be an interesting race, I may have a saver on mishriff in case Ryan tries to stack them up on broome

Other than the eclipse its not really been tested at the highest level yet

Mishriff is better over 10f and doesn't seem at his best at ascot (needs flatter track like York and meydan?)
torquator tasso surely needs softer ground
Broome and pyledriver just don't look good enough

So the two 3yos have everything in their favour

Though I'm likely biased as I backed westover ante post and got lucky with desert crown getting pulled out
