I’d guess at not backing him for the Ryanair

    • I'd have Bravemansgame over Fastorslow every day of the week (and twice on Fridays) but we all know that neither of them beats GDC (who still hasn't featured in one of these).

I think I'd have Gerri Colombe over both Bravemansgame and Fastorslow BUT the most likely winner is definitely Galopin Des Champs.

Don't know if it's a typo or a deliberate nickname but I really like the name Galloping Des Champs!

            I much prefer Country Urchin.

That's his Forum name from this point on.

            • We've seen time after time that the gold cup destroys horses

And with this years banc looking a pretty poor renewal

Maybe l'homme presse is worth considering

He was in the process of running a massive race in the King George going the wrong way round before coming down

              bit of a forgotten horse

If galopin and BMG don't hit the same heights Id say hes the one best placed to pick up the pieces

              • Horses running in the GC for the first time is still one of the best stats around for finding the winner.

I believe L'homme presse had a setback over the summer, someone else may be able to confirm?

Typo. Corrected. Thanks for pointing out. But to be fair I do also like the new name.

It’s a bit of a wise guy destination
Been guilty of bets like this every season but it’s low percentage I reckon.
Going for 3 champions has to be the goal. Don’t happen often.

Yeah I'd make him a very very unlikely runner in the Ryanair

Yea I backed him Ryanair on a complete whim but I think it’s very unlikely. He will always be in contention for a champion chase especially if it’s looking like slop.

Would say Tony Bloom would love to aim for the treble

He may prefer sticking half a mill on him to win a cheap Ryanair than take on El Fabulous though.

Energumene can't have the rain gods with him for a third year in a row though can he ???

Yes. Hadn't appreciated you'd meant IRO the Ryanair.

Wonder does Tony have to supply selfies holding his bank statement to his forehead.

funny that Energumene has lost a prep race each season before winning the champion chase.

Do you think willie will send both for the Clarence House? Two British owners surely want a runner.

El fab to beat him there in the Clarence

Energumene to storm through the mud in the champion chase as El Fab pecks on landing the last…. It’s written in the stars
