how often would henderson run more than one in this race and If derek O’Connor is on mister Coffey what does this mean for city chief who is currently shorter in the betting and if he did run city chief who would ride and who would be better than O’Connor so does that mean Henderson think Coffey is better or chief isn’t running because the donnelly’s have other options or wild theory GDM banc Patrick Mullins city chief due to Donnelly connection lol

Haven't they said City Chief might not be ready for this.

Coffey is 5/1 today though so rolling that on manually would almost certainly be better than 25s?

Believe they're looking away from Cheltenham for City Chief. The Dusart race at Ayr (mentioned by the jockey after the race) would look the main spring target anyhow.

Lots of blue this morning for Mister Coffey. Into 10's from 16's. 8's with PP.

Must be a HUGE concern for backers of him that he hasn't been able to get his head infront in over 2years, has looked abit of a rogue the last few times he ran for me, especially in the Kim Muir when holding every chance against 'Chambard'.

I'd like to think Gaillard is plenty classier than that lad.

Would have beaten Chambard Darlo but for nearly being take out of the race and losing 6lengths+. The marathon distances could well bring out further improvement in him. Galliard is way ahead on ratings but an unknown over extreme distances and favourites in the NHC have a pretty desperate record. Mister Coffey @ 16/1 looked a decent EW play. That price well gone now though.

He was 3rd in an Irish Grand National off top weight over 3M5F in fairness, should be no question of his staying ability

Gaillard du mesnil is an unknown over extreme distances? Huh.

Agree 16s was probably a decent EW bet with the jock booked, but would imagine he would definitely be playing for places provided the race amounts up to what i expect it to.

Yep. Watch the Irish National back...he came there but did appear to not see it out. May have been the weight but...

Just seen....Coffey smashed in today at Uttoxeter. Wasn't expecting that

EW was always the play from me. Win will be a lovely bonus but more than happy with GDM (or Chemical) winning and MC placing....win/win !

All about the Jockeys though after the top 3 winning the race 8 out of last 11 years. Just back the Jockeys blind. Don't worry about the horses!!

Probably a combination of the weight he was carrying and also the weight of the ones around him - 10st2, 10st7 in front of him, and the 2 behind him were picking up the pieces late on also. Was a huge run for a novice in a race like that. Only 4 weeks 1 day to find out
