Champ Hurd;
JC - can’t knock CH.

MC - Flooring Porter, massively overpriced.
SB - Likes Marie’s.
GC

KB - Could go wrong early for GDC but thinks he could be a superstar. Likes Stattler as an alternative.
MC - GDC bombproof. Minella Indo e/w.
SB - Conflated.

Possibly the dumbest comment from any preview evening yet,and that's from some stiff competition,go back and watch what happens to Energumene at the last fence in the Clarence House,when they go left or right on take off and are forced not to they take off all wrong,such a tactic wouldn't stop the habit,it'd just make his & the jockeys job much harder.
BUT..... .when someone says "they have to give her weight"...... David Nolan said it on the RaceHour preview..... about Marie's Rock, for the Stayers. IT'S FUCKING IRRELEVANT! There is no piece of form where that isn't the case, so it's just irrelevant. If at some point she ran and then she got an EXTRA 7lbs, amazing.... but it's not.
Stop fucking saying it. It makes literally no difference. Saying it is the dumbest thing in horse racing.

There wouldn't be a person in the room who doesn't know that in that grade all mares get 7lb from the geldings either,yet they say it like it's some hidden gem they've been keeping up their sleeve for just the right moment.
Honestly I used to enjoy when the previews began as it meant we was within weeks of the festival but it's become an industry of it's own,bit of easy money for an hour or so trotting out shit like "she gets 7LBS here" or "To stop him jumping right we're going to glue a horse to his shoulder" or some such nonsense, they offer so little now that the effort to hear that one interesting view isn't worth the hassle anymore.
I should go back to drinking in the evenings, I used to be much more jovial around 11pm,honest.
Sean Boyce picking American Mike as his Ballymore selection is up there in the absurd comments stakes.
Can't remember from last year but when bigger priced horses tipped in these preview nights get hammered in at the time, do they generally end up drifting back out over the next couple of weeks to the previous ish prices? Kicking myself a bit cos there was a horse I was gonna cover that was roughly 70s on exchange and forgot to go back and cover it today, been mentioned once and now its in the mid 20s range.
