Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Not at all. Sometimes the perfect time to back a horse is post fall if you think they were travelling well. Shishkin went 40's after falling on debut and the rest as they say is history.

      • From memory.
There aren't many novice chase champions that have fell during the season.
        Might be wrong.
I'm sure some will be able to name some that did.

Might Bite, Moscow Flyer and Un Des Sceaux the ones I can think of. Might be more but I wouldn't think it would be very common. Not sure you could argue Journey With Me could be in their class. Might Bite the worst of those and hes a Gold Cup runner up.

                Good memory.
I'm sure there's a stat that going to cheltenham as a novice chaser off the back of a fall has never ended up with a winner, but I might be wrong about that.

I'm pretty sure Champ did. I'm sure AP will know so he will.

                    • Totally off topic and completely useless informatoon, but I went back to check on one of my favourite horses of all time, Remittance Man, to see if he’d fallen
as a novice, which he didn’t, but I hadn’t realised he won two races at Cheltenham, a bumper and a novice hurdle, on ground officially described as ‘firm’.
                      That’s it.
                      Told you it was useless…

                        Excellent
I’m pretty sure that’s the stat I was thinking of as he’s the only one to do that - or at least he was at some point.
                        could be talking bollocks though

can use it to have a dig at Henderson.

when does the horses welfare mean jackshit.
when one’s building a career of course.

Or Clerks, who would be abandoning fixtures if ground became that quick these days.

Back to Novice Hurdlers I think…

I've still got a screenshot on my phone of a bet I placed in December 2021. Facile Vega (Bumper), Vauban (Triumph) and State Man (Supreme) 2 pts e/w treble at odds of 22541/1 (boosted). I cry every time I look at it.
