Bizarre last line about McCoy. National been the plan all season, talks about swerving Ultima owing to the timing of the National, and then says that. Very strange and I don’t think it’s worth taking literally.

I think the McCoy reference was just him mumbling scenarios on Iroko just before the off on ITV at the weekend. I’d say it reads as run before Cheltenham then all systems go for Aintree

Does anyone else use Racing Uk to watch replays? The reason I ask is for the last couple of weeks or so whenever I put on a race to watch, as soon as I try to get it to the last half mile or so and click on the screen it just chucks me out of the app………. I have looked to see if there is an update which there doesn’t appear to be and I have deleted and reinstalled the app but still doing it! Any advice greatly appreciated for this technophobe.

Kim Bailey's statement says it all - some common sense from him on it and explains what happens with the money allocated for the Jockeys. Doubt many of the other trainers have his class though.

I find with a lot of things on the RTV app, they can be buggy. I just login & use through normal web browser & far more stable (such as scrolling to a place in vid, landscape / portrait adjustment etc)

The "trainers should be paid for interviews" thing is indicative a group of people who have gotten used to having bookmakers pay them to publish stuff under their own name without them having to write it. inuring them from the reality that the sport is decaying from the inside out.

If I was a trainer starting out today, you'd be bored of the sight of me on ITV, I'd have a tiktok showing the yard, bring all the personalities at the yard to life, show everyone the horses' lives. Instead they just moan endlessly trying to take until the sport has nothing left to give back
