Short answer is yes, I'd tinker with a book to get the horse I fancied the most to be the best result but that doesn't always happen. For example in the Champion Hurdle Constitution Hill is by far the most likely winner, but not my best result by a long stretch, but I can't really do anything about it.
As a general rule, if the SP fav is my best result, I feel that's a job well-done ante post. I'd then take a fresh look on the day of race markets and act accordingly. Realistically I'd have to really strongly disagree with the market leader being fav to do anything drastic and it doesn't happen very often though!
In Facile Vega's / Supreme case.... even though I don't think he's the best bet now at the prices, I think he'll go off favourite... therefore without having any reason to strongly oppose him, then I'm unlikely to change it. As I said above though, very much depends on what prices he is, and what is available elsewhere... any offers etc... so things could change and always on the hunt.
