Perhaps...... just thinking about this, getting a team of mods enforcing what can and can't be discussed within the specifics of every single thread (rather than just a general rule of 'keep it about racing') is a helluva of a big ask isn't it?

I wouldn't ask to do the mods anything I wouldn't be willing to do, and respectfully I feel I have better things to do than read every single post in every thread in 'real time' and have to move it or remind someone not to discuss targets beacuse it's going to be unavoidable in some cases anyway?

This is me just thinking out loud though charlie Big Bucks

I agree with robith the specific threads did go up too early this year, we were out voted .... but essentially, we'd still end up with the same content wouldn't we, so not really sure it's a fixable problem (problem probably not even the right word)?

Yeh logistically it sounds like a nightmare, but I genuinely think if those threads existed people would use them and understand why they exist.

Was just an idea, one for 2023 maybe

        • Comments in the Supreme thread about the ride My Mate Mozzie got yesterday, made me look at Gavin Cromwell’s performance over the weekend. He had 3 runners in total.

On Saturday, Pour Pavore in the 3m handicap hurdle, never troubled the judge and came in as he liked, 11/24 at 28/1. This horse bagged the all-important 6th place in the Pertemps qualifier where there was more focus on Dunboyne and Winter Fog over Christmas at Leopardstown. 33-40 ante post, 25/1 NRNB with Bet 365.

His other runner, Brides Hill, was much more fancied, at 11/1, in Sunday’s mares handicap hurdle, where Party Central was the handicap snip. She’d previously demolished a good field over Christmas, also at Leopardstown. After disputing the lead, and running off top weight, she went out like a light at the final turn, and was quickly pulled up.

As for My Mate Mozzie, Gavin did say she’d be back on song for a spring campaign. Still holds the Champion Hurdle entry and while that seemed very optimistic at the time, I suspect Gavin was just using the DRF to give these 3 a blow out before spring campaigns.

              3. Shishkin

No Bob Olinger? Think I’d have him in there over Facile Vega.

                          • Is it absolutely ludicrous to be putting a bet on for next year?

Considering pairing Honeysuckle/Allaho this year with Ginto for next years BANC. Treble pays circa 50/1
