Can't see it but would love to see her run in the grade 2 2m4f chase on Down Royal's big weekend

Would PTKO have to carry a penalty if she ran in the Mares Chase?
PtKO and Easyland to win a/r @ 25-1.
That’s a riskier option to get the PtKO a/r onside at a decent price.Last edited by Eggs; 23 July 2020, 08:40 AM.

I asked for Chosen Mate to be added to TWAR last night.
WH priced him up at 20/1 and PP 8/1.
WH probably looking more at Graded races, he is generally priced up at 25's (a couple price bigger than that) with that price-up.
If he ended up in a handicap (a few lbs lower in the weights than his current mark) then he wouldnt be 20/1.Last edited by Saxon Warrior; 24 July 2020, 08:54 AM."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

He would have surely had a bumper run or 2 in the spring just gone, if he was to have a bumper season this year would mean 7 going over hurdles.
I think with the fee they paid which in the long term is to jump fences, they may possibly give him a bumper run first run back and then send him over obstacles.
Could be way off with that as there are occasions of horses being 7 going over hurdles.

It'll be a small and inconclusive sample no matter what the result but my guess before looking is that it's be a really small percentage that have done it.
Happy for the facts to prove my theory wrong but I'm not checking it myself tonight

Losing the last 6 weeks of last season may make this sort of stat less reliable in the short term. When they finally announce the autumn programme it will be interesting to see if there are extra bumpers as an option for horses that might have had extra experience in the lost 6 weeks prior to moving on to hurdling.
